Chapter 9:

Chaeyoung's P.O.V~

"Hey Honey." my mom said. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be happy or angry. But, I'm glad I get to see her again.

"Mom... How did you know?" I said looking down on the ground, trying to hold in my tears. "I've been watching you Chaeyoung. Ever since your father and I passed away. We've seen you be lonely, we saw how the kids bullied you. But you made friends this school year, I'm so proud of you."

She paused. "I'm so sorry." I look up and see a tear escape her eyes. "Mom... It's okay... Now, just tell me how to get rid of this curse..." Finally, I let my tears roll down my face.

"Love." my mother said. "Love? Why love?" I asked. "Because love can solve many things, even this curse. Do you have someone you love?" my mother asked. I smiled. "I do." "Who?" "Her name is-" before I could finish, she finishes it for me. "Myoui Mina right?" I smile even wider and wiped my tears. "Yes." I said. "Well, do you think she's the one?" my mother asked. "What do you mean?" I'm watching my words so I don't say anything stupid. "I mean, do you think she's the one who can break this curse? Do you think she can do so much to help you? Can you trust her enough? And for the final question, can she love you?" I froze... I don't know what to answer. I already told her my curse but, can she help me? Can she break the curse? Can I trust her? Does she... Love me too?... My head is going crazy.

"I... I don't know mom..." 'What if she-' "Doesn't love you back?" What!? She read my mind... "I know what you're thinking honey. I'm not real." ... What... "Then how are you here!?" I need to control myself.... Deep breaths Chaeyoung. Deep breaths.. "I was sent here to help you, your father fought a lot just to get us to talk to you..." I know she's hurting. I can see it through her eyes. "Okay... Love... Mina... What does this all mean?" I asked her. "It means that if Mina can heal your heart, make you come back, the curse will be lifted."

"Are you sure?" I asked again for reassurance. "I'm sure." she smiles. "It's time for me to go sweety." a tear escapes her eyes. I hug her immediately. "I love you Chaeyoung." she said. "I...." "Don't say it. I know you want to but you can't. I know you do too." she said. I hugged her tighter. We stayed silent throughout the rest of the hug but it wasn't uncomfortable. We broke the hug and then she disappeared.

I recall all the memories I had with my parents and start crying. I closed my eyes and felt water splash on my forehead. It's gonna rain. Great, the sky is feeling my emotions. A couple of minutes later, it starts pouring harder and harder but I haven't move from my spot. I don't care if it's raining. I like the rain. It gives the world a new color. I'm wet but who cares. My feet start moving to god knows where.

I reached my destination and I figured out where I am. My old house. The house my family lived in. I looked through the windows and saw a family eating dinner and smiling and laughing. It aches my heart but I smile. To think, I-no. We were like that once. I've made a decision...

I'm sorry friends but, I'll be gone for a while.

Mina's P.O.V~

I'm starting to worry about Chaeyoung. She hasn't been answering my calls and texts. I asked the others to text her too but they got the same result. I hope she's fine. Let's just stick to positive thoughts instead of negatives. If she doesn't come to school tomorrow, I'll start worrying but for now, let's just assume she's sick.
