⭐️Chapter 3: Smoke

ONE MINUTE LEFT!

Thrash and the other two saw the one minute left timer as well, and began to advance on, with Thorne staying behind to deal with Cosmo. Cosmo figured that he could just splat him and continue to ink their turf, so he took the chance. While Thorne initially wasn't hit by the burst bombs, he did get hit with the regular sloshes, and when Cosmo's armor charged, he used it. The team, who had respawned just in the nick of time, got it and rushed forward to fight the other three. Cosmo continued to ink the turf on the enemy side, watching out in case Thorne came back and managed to ink him. He was starting to get closer and closer to the enemy base and figured that he should keep his distance to prevent Thorne from hiting him from base, allowing for a cheap kill since...Yknow.

Ink doesn't hit the respawn point.

The other three, now that they had armor, withstood the shots of Thrash and Thorne, even with Fang being their backup. Point sensors and inkmines were placed, but they didn't really do much, considering everyone was within range at the time, and nobody would be hiding. While their initial shots and sub weapons didn't do much, Jack's Dynamo swing finished them off, with only Fang left. Jack swam around Fang and raced to the center to get into the tower for the advantage, only to see Cosmo still going. He smiled, and boosted him with HIS armor he had charged up along the way. Cosmo had needed it, since Spyke and Thorne had respawned and were after him with their own weapons. Cosmo had withstood the shots of the splatling and splatted Thorne again. Cosmo then had to dash around Spyke to get away from the slow but powerful strike of the dynamo. This of course, also bought time for them, which was also needed.

Meanwhile Silvia and Ryn double teamed Fang, who, despite making a path with his tenta brella, was still splatted anyway. Ryn had attacked his shield in case she managed to break through and get him from the front, and Silvia had gotten him from behind while he was distracted by Ryn. The two then rushed back to the center to help Cosmo out, The two first lagging behind some to cover the trail back up. Silvia also planted more ink mines down while she could. By the time Cosmo had been splatted, the two had taken his place, with Jack backing them up with Dynamo flings. Cosmo was able to superjump back to Jack, and the group was ready to turn the tide on these suckers.

It didn't matter if there were point sensors thrown around Or ink mines. Or sprinklers. They didn't give up. They had the courage to face this group, and they were going to use it. The other team kept pushing back, gaining some turf, but Ryn and her team would always cover it back up. This was one of their more intense battles. Usually turf didn't have to BE this competitive. And yet, there they were.

Sub weapon toss after sub weapon toss.
Burst bombs and splat bombs.
Splashdown after Ink Armor after Splashdown after Ink Armor...

Sure they got splatted, but they were almost done.
They could last, they could last...
Thorne began shooting at Jack, who was still on the tower. Jack of course, went to move out of the way, only to be met with Spyke, who had climbed the tower when nobody was watching. He whacked him with his Dynamo. Cosmo had JUST activated an ink armor, so instead of splatting him, it sent Jack flying off the tower to the ground below. Thrash watched this happen, and took the chance.
