Mangle's POV

Mangle has been keeping an eye on Enddy. Ever since this morning, he's been acting odd. Enddy would sometimes take a step forward and stumble. He would slur some words. But what worried Mangle the most was Enddy's eyes. Not that his eyes were different colors, but they seemed… lifeless. Whilst the two were taking a break, Mangle brought up the subject.

Mangle: "Enddy?"
Enddy: "Mangle?"
Both said the other's name at the same time.
Enddy: "You first, Mangle."
Mangle: "Okay. What is going on with you, Enddy? You're not acting like yourself. Is something wrong?"
Enddy stared at nothing. He stayed silent for a good two minutes before he spoke.
Enddy: "I've been dreaming about nightmares."
Mangle: "Enddy that was just-"
Enddy: "A hallucination. But the nightmares I've been dreaming about are real, but they've already happened. Because they were of my past life. When I was (Y/N) (L/N)."
Mangle: "I don't follow."
Enddy: "Being human was like Hell for me. Parents who don't give a damn about you. 'Friends' who would tell you that places like this would appeal the male fantasy. Just wanting to live, love, die. I doubt you'd know what I'm talking about."
Mangle: "Enddy."

Enddy looked into Mangle's eyes. They were beautiful.
Mangle: "You're right. I don't know what you are talking about, and I doubt the others would as well, but don't let those bad memories get to you."
Enddy cocked his head to the side.
Enddy: "What, and focus on the good? Name one fucking good thing that has happened since I came here."

Mangle was taken aback by this. This wasn't Enddy. No way. This was Enddy's monster. His 'nightmare'. Still, Mangle pointed out what good came out of Enddy coming here before he was Enddy. When Enddy was (Y/N).

Mangle: "Me."
Enddy: "What?"
Mangle: "I was a good thing that happened to you. I saved you, I loved you, I made love with you. And right now, nothing has been good? Maybe I should've killed you when I saw you."

Enddy didn't say a word. Mangle looked at him and saw his head was spazzing out. His head was jerking in every direction, threatening to fall off his body.
Mangle: "Enddy?"
Enddy stopped. Then, collapsed.
Mangle: "Oh no. I need Mari."
Mangle peeked out from behind the curtains. Children, teens, and parents. No single adult male was waiting for her. She took this opportunity to go get Mari.

Mari's POV

Mari was brought into Kid's Cove. Of course, since she wasn't seen outside of the backstage room, she got a lot of weird looks when she floated out. Mangle explained to Mari what Enddy was dealing with. Mari wasn't entirely sure what to do, but she did have a hunch.

Mari: "I think I know what Enddy's problem is."
Mangle: "Please tell me."
Mari: "Simple or Advanced?"
Mangle: "Simple."
Mari knew Mangle wasn't wanting to waste time in figuring out what was wrong with Enddy.
Mari: "Enddy might be in shock from his first kill, but he now wants to kill again. If he kills another guard, he'll develop a taste for blood."
Mangle: "And?!"
Mari: "He will distance himself from who he truly is."
Mangle: "What does that mean?"
Mari turned to face Mangle, which meant Mari had to look down and for Mangle to look up.
Mari: "It means, the more he kills, the more likely he'll become his monster."
Mangle looked at Enddy, worried more for him than anyone else.
Mari: "But if Enddy does kill again, get me as quick as possible. I know how to fix him."
Mangle: "Why not fix him now?!"

Mari wasn't in the mood for arguing, but at the same time, she didn't want to lose anyone's trust.
Mari: "If I try to fix him now, I may get rid of Enddy's memory and not that monster he talks about. Now, nothing can be done now, but remember to get me if anything happens to Enddy, alright?"
Mangle: "Alright."

With that, Mari floated out of Kid's Cove and went back to her box.
Mari: "I just hope Mairusu doesn't hire another perverted guard."
Mari shook that thought out of her head and went back to sleep.

(A/N) I can't stress enough of what I'm going through right now. I just want to drop this, but I'm so close to finishing this book. I plan on writing at least three more chapters, but until then, this is Enddy Endoskeleton powering down.
