Veronica texted the whole school an invitation to a welcome party for her little sister at the pembrooke .

Maddie woke up , she was in the basement of the whyrm , where she had been sleeping the past few days and got changed into a plaid two price with heeled boots and of course a serpent jacket . She texted her best friend, Sydney Topaz

" what is it ? " she says trying to get a sneak peak at the phone
" you wanted to keep this low-key right ? " Sydney grinned

Maddies face goes scarlet red as she sinks into her seat " great . Juuuustt great "

Maddie wanted to say no but she couldn't resist when it came to Sydney , And Vis-Versa . They had both liked each over for years but didn't act on it - scared it would ruin thier friendship .

" we can get ready at mine " Sidney says taking a huge sip of her milkshake to finish it quickly , maddie did the same. Sydney watched as maddie sipped the milkshake " Ill wait outside " she says and leaves the building shaking her head

15 minutes later

Sydney was in the shower , and maddie was frantically searching through her suitcase for something to wear . Maddie began to sing and Sydney joined in . They had been doing it since they were l1 . It was things like this that stopped then from telling them how they really felt , hey had so much fun - how could they possibly risk times like these ?
