"Miss Nazarov. Let's take a walk." Fury turns and begins to walk down the stairs. Morana stays stuck in the doorway.
"Why would I go anywhere with you? Just so you can kill me?" Fury stopped and looked back at her with his one good eye meeting her's over the sunglasses he wore.
"Miss Nazarov I have something that I think you'll be interested in. If you really don't want to trust me then here-" Fury reached into the back of his waistband and pulled out a small silver gun and held it out for her to take. Morana eyed it warily before taking it and shoving it in her pocket. She closed the door behind her and walked straight past Fury.
"Whatever, you can help me grocery shop." They both jumped into the dark SUV Fury had come in and they sped down the road. Morana's attention was snagged when the car started speaking.
"Morana Nazarov. Lynx is a threat to your safety. Deploying countermeasures." The masculine voice came.
"Hold that order. She's a friend." Fury glanced over to her from the wheel and Morana stared at him. What could he possibly want from her? And friend? They're enemies. The pair arrived at the store and Morana began to pluck the essentials off the shelves.
"So what is you wanted Director Fury."
"I want you." He said bluntly. Morana sniggered.
"Everyone does, for something of other. What do you need with me? Need someone crossed off?" Fury adjusted his beanie over his head.
"No. Nothing like that. I want you to be a double agent." Morana stopped.
"You want me to what now?" She ground out.
"Come work for SHIELD Miss Nazarov. I know what happened to you down in that cell. Pierce bragged about it when he thought he had the upper hand. Sounds to me like you were more loyal to HYDRA than HYDRA was to you. But your...situation was kept under lock and key. No one really knows about it, but a lot of HYDRA's lackeys didn't go down with the ship. I want you to help me finish HYDRA once and for all."Morana kept shopping, listening to what Fury was saying. It was true. She hated HYDRA and would love nothing more than for it to be buried under 10 feet of dirt but she had Bucky to think about.
"Look, I know that you probably aren't looking to trade one secret agency for the next but we really could use your help. And before you say that you can't, I know that you and Barnes are together. Doing this could help both of you in the eyes of the public. Right now everyone is terrified of you, if you get ahead of this, do some good, the world might start to change their outlook." He made a good point. Morana sighed and leant against her trolley.
"Grab that pizza box for me." Fury turned to the fridge holding frozen pizzas.
"What kind?" Morana waved her hand.
"Whatever." Fury grabbed a box and went to put it in the trolley.
"Uh no. Pineapple does not belong on pizza." Fury rolled his eyes and grabbed a different box, Morana nodded and he put it in the trolley.
"You want me to catch the bad guys, to save the world from evil? Fury, I am evil." They continue walking down the aisle.
"I'm here to talk to you about the Avengers Initiative. There was an idea, to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles we never could. That team today, consists of a super soldier, an angry green man, a genius, a god, a marksman and an ex-assassin. A very unlikely team. I think you'd make a good addition. And Miss Nazarov? Even bad people have good sides. You don't have to be perfect or angelic or great, that doesn't make you evil or bad, it makes you human. Help us do some good."
"Morana." She smiled, the man looked confused.
"Call me Morana." Fury gave a small smile back at her.
"Morana, will you help us?"
"I'll help you."
