Your boyfriend, Hongjoong, had been really busy because of his group's schedule. He had to promote with Ateez and at the same time prepare for the new album. You knew he was busy and you didn't want to pressure him or nag him asking him to take breaks or come home more, but you really missed him.
School was really stressful in that period, especially because you had important exams coming up. You needed to relax in Hongjoong's arms but he was never there. You were sad and anxious but you still didn't tell him, because you didn't want to bother or distract him.
That day, he was finally able to leave work earlier than usual. Practice was over and he also managed to finish the song he was writing. He knew he would find you home, waiting for him hoping to see him before you went to bed, so he decided to surprise you.
When you heard the door of your apartment open you were surprised. Hongjoong came in and found you on the couch in the living room.
《Hi》 he said, kneeling in front of you with his arms behind his back, clearly hiding something.
《Hi》 you replied, weakly
《I finished earlier today》 he said, smiling 《I brought you this》
Said that, he handed you what he was hiding behind his back. It was a cute plushie with a little box of chocolate attached. You took the plushie and hugged it. He was smiling at your reaction, but then he heard you sniff.
《Are you crying?》 he asked, worried
《No, I got something in my eyes》 you lied
He made you look at him.
《What is it?》 he asked softly
《I just missed you》 you admitted
He smiled softly and sat next to you, hugging you tight.
《I missed you too》 he said 《I realize I was away from you for too long》
《It's okay, I know you are busy》
《Even if I'm busy, I'l try to come home more》 he said 《I promise》
You cuddled closer to him and he kissed your head.
《I love you》 he whispered
