The next day was frenetic. Seonghwa was curious to ask Yeosang if he enjoyed the night before, but since they had to get ready and take a plane, he held back and waited. During the ride to the airport he didn't say anything, and nor he did during the queue to get their luggage checked. Only when they were finally done, and waiting for their flight to arrive, that Seonghwa decided to approach Yeosang.
He sat next to him and put his arm around his shoulder.
《Get off》 said Yeosang, pushing him away before he could even speak
《Why are you so grumpy?》 Seonghwa asked
《I don't even want to see your face》
《Why? What happened?》
《You should know》
《But I don't》 Seonghwa replied 《That's why I'm confused》
Yeosang didn't reply, so Seonghwa asked the first thing that came to his mind.
《Didn't you like the surprise yesterday?》
《Would you have liked to find out your girlfriend is cheating on you with your friend?》 Yeosang replied, sarcastic
《What?》
《You should have hidden it better, if you wanted to play behind my back》
《What the hell are you talking about? She didn't cheat on you》 Seonghwa said
《Stop faking》 Yeosang snapped, angry
《No, you stop and listen to me!》 Seonghwa snapped back
Even thought Yeosang was mad, he respected his older friend and kept silent.
《Since your anniversary is in the middle of our schedule abroad, she wanted to celebrate it before we went away. She wanted to give you a gift so she asked me for help》 he said 《That's all we've been doing. She took extra shifts at work to earn more money and got you the watch you've been wanting to get for a while. She had even wrote you a heartfelt letter》
《You were only helping her?》 Yeosang said, weakly
《Yes》 Seonghwa 《And I can't believe you thought that she could do something like that, or that I could do that to you》
《I fucked up》 he said
《Yes》 said Seonghwa, annoyed 《Yes, you did》
In the meantime, you were at home. The night before, after you met with Yeosang, you went home and cried yourself to sleep, without even changing your clothes or taking your make up off. When you woke up you took a shower, hoping to wash the bad thoughts away, but it only made you sadder. You were hurt that Yeosang thought you would betray him like that, but you also knew that the way you had been acting looked suspicious. You wanted to make things right, but you were scared to talk to him. And the fact that they were going abroad soon, meant that you had to suffer until they came back and you could actually talk to him again.
You were lost in your thoughts when you heard the doorbell ring, so you got up and went to open the door. When you opened it, the first thing you saw were Yeosang's eyes, and you froze.
《Shouldn't you be in the airport?》 you asked, taken by surprise
《I ran away》 he replied
《Why?》
《I had to see you》 he said 《I need to apologize》
《Did you talk with Seonghwa?》 you asked, catching up on what could have happened
《He told me what you two were doing》 he said 《I feel like an idiot and I'm so ashamed of myself right now. I don't know why I doubted you. I shouldn't have done that》
《I understand why you did》 you replied 《I've been meeting him often, sometimes neglecting you, so I can see why you thought that》
《But it wasn't fair》 he said 《I'm so sorry, I hope you can forgive me》
《Of course I forgive you》 you replied 《But you have to promise me you won't doubt me again. And if there's something bothering you, at least talk to me about it first》
《I won't doubt you again, I promise》 he replied
You hugged him and he hugged you back, finally relaxing in your arms.
《What about your flight thought?》 you asked
《I'll take the next flight tomorrow》 he replied 《I'm gonna spend the rest of today with you》
《Will you get in trouble for it?》
《Probably, but it was worth it》
You playfully slapped his shoulder and he chuckled.
《Can I get my gift now?》 he asked
《You have to earn it》 you replied
He smiled and leaned down to kiss you.
