You had been feeling nauseous for a couple of days now. You didn't think much of it at first, cause you thought it could have just been something you'd eaten, or maybe it was just premenstrual pain. But then, your period never arrived.
You were starting to get nervous but you didn't even want to think about that possibility. It was when your friend suggested you took the test, that you started to think it was probably possible. So you ran to buy a pregnancy test and then ran back home. You spent an hour going back and forth from the bedroom and the bathroom floor, too scared to even try it. Then, you took a deep breath and just went for it. You were staring at the test, when the lines that mean you were pregnant showed up.
《I'm so fucked》 you said, starting crying
You didn't know how to tell San. You didn't want to tell him at first, because you didn't want to be a burden, but at the same time he needed to know.
When he came home, that night, he found you waiting in the living room. He took his shoes off and went to you, kissing you on the cheek as a greeting. You, however, didn't even move.
《Is everything okay?》 he asked, worried
《I'm pregnant》 you quickly said, looking at the floor
Silence was all you could hear. You couldn't even hear San's breathing.
《It's okay, you don't have to take care of this》 you added, with a sad tone 《I can take care of myself and raise it on my own》
《No, why would you do it alone?》 he asked, confused
《So you don't have to worry about you career》 you replied 《This baby could ruin your future, and I don't want that》
《But I want you》 he said 《and I want this baby》
《You do?》 you asked, finally looking up at him
You saw the hope in his eyes and he saw the sadness in yours. He took your hands in his.
《I know this is a bit earlier that I expected but you are the love of my life, and eventually I would have asked you to marry me and have kids》 he said 《I'm not backing off now, and I sure as hell won't let you handle this alone》
《But your career-》
《My career will be just fine》 he assured you 《I promise I can handle both, and I will find a way so that this doesn't effect my work. So, please, let me be there for you》
《I'm scared》 you replied, in a whisper
《It's okay》 he said 《I'm here with you, and together we can figure this out》
《I love you San》
《I love you too》
