The twins stared at the man trembling on what he just said but that man who claims to be the angel of death continued to inform them about their situation.
"Richard & Braden Jones, I know you two have a lot of questions going on through your minds, but let me tell you this you're in the life & death situation now"
"It was you; you're that man I saw at the lake" Said Richie.
"What are you & what do you want from us???" Braden asked.
"Again my name is Victor an angel of death & it's not me that wants something from you it's the other way around"
"Tell us Victor do we still have a chance to live again?" Richie questioned.
"Well that depends you see for a long time I knew your family, each generation had its own twins starting with your Great Great Grandmothers Adel & Ava until to your Grandmother's brothers Tommy & Timothy. But sadly those ancestors of yours on that time aren't lucky to keep a pair for one must always go & yet here I am again dealing with another pair but this time a different one"
"Wait, are you saying that one of us twins gets to live while the other one dies?" Braden asked nervous.
"No, your states are quite different from theirs, you & your twin brother both ended up in the middle of the life & death line. So now I am going to find out if your fates will be different or be the same as theirs, it's either both of you say goodbye or both of you continue your lives & there's also the one lives & one dies"
"How are you going to do that?" Richie wondered.
"By using these things" Showing them two pocket watches on his hands. "This things will determine your fates, as you can see they both stopped at the time you got into the accident. Once I pointed it to you & when it resumes moving it means you can freely go back to your body now & if it doesn't, I am sorry but you need to come with me"
Suddenly Richie's ventilator began losing its heart rate for his body is now failing to breathe so the nurses called Elizabeth & the doctors to revive him.
"Victor what's happening to my body?" Richie asked.
"Your body took critical hit during the accident, either it needs your soul to come back or it's giving up"
"What are you waiting for? Point that pocket watch to me" He said to Victor.
Victor pointed the watch at Richie & in a few seconds it began ticking again indicating that Richie is still alive.
"Congratulations Richard you may continue to live your life" Victor greeted. "Your body is now waiting for you"
Braden felt worried after witnessing that Richie gets another chance to live having the fear in his mind that he will be the one to die. Then he recalled his conversation with Mila.
"Richie is always better compared to me. Sometimes I wish there's a way I could be like him"
"If you're planning to switch bodies with him you should stop because it's never gonna happen"
"But if it does then I got the chance I'll quickly switch lives with him so he will know what I feel"
Before Richie can get inside the room for his body, Braden suddenly grabbed his arm & pulled him.
"Not so fast Richie!"
"Braden what are you doing??? Let me go!"
"No Richie this time I'll be the one who will live your life for good!"
"Braden what's happening to you? Why are you doing this?!?"
"I am done living my life & now I am going to take yours, brother"
With his willingness to take Richie's life, Braden pushed his brother away & passed through the wall heading to Richie's body.
"Braden stop!!!"
"Richard quick you have to stop him!" Victor told him.
Richie got up & went inside to prevent Braden from coming inside his body by pulling him away but Braden didn't give up so he fought Richie by smacking him on the face & pushing him on the ground as he strangles him.
"You can't stop me Richie!!! I am stronger than you!!!"
"I won't let you take my body!" Richie choked.
"Watch me" Braden grinned.
Richie fought back by kicking Braden away from him then proceeded in coming back on his body but his twin continued blocking him.
"Braden please don't do this" Richie implored.
"I am not listening to you anymore Richie I'll do what I want & you can't stop me!!!"
The two of them continued their fight as the doctors revive Richie's body & on that moment Braden was now furious so he gathered all his strength & anger to push away Richie which he did, Braden threw his brother out of the room where Victor caught him.
Before Richie can get back inside, Braden quickly went to his twin brother's body where he lie down on it & in a few seconds Braden's soul started to go inside Richie's body fully until he woke up on it gasping for air.
"Nooooo!!!!" Richie screamed as he watched Braden took over his body.
Braden who is now inside Richie's body called to her mother Elizabeth who is also in the room crying in joy now that he is awake. The two of them embraced each other tightly & behind Elizabeth's back Braden can see Richie's soul looking at him in rage as he stares at the window so he gave him a teasing smirk to show Richie that he won this time.
