el knew she shouldn't feel this way. when she was with mike, she almost never felt this way. but right in this moment, she felt like she wanted to drown. mike always told her that she was his angel, but right now she felt like all she did was bring him down. el and mike had gotten in a fight at school, a really terrible one. she remembered how her head tightened and her eyes bulged,
suddenly, mike was collapsed on the floor, blood running out of his nose. right now, he was lying in a hospital bed, unconscious. she felt all the popular, pretty girls staring daggers at her. i mean, who would blame them, el almost killed hawkin high's golden boy that day. she should run.
leave.
she couldn't stay here, she was drowning, and suffocated by the guilt. she didn't deserve someone like mike, all she did was cause him trouble.
but she realized, suddenly.... mike was the love of her life, she needed him back. there was only one thing to do. maybe mike wouldn't forgive her, but it was a worth a last shot.
*fast forward to the hospital*
"um, excuse me, uh, can i see michael wheeler?", she asked the receptionist. "here's a visitor's pass,"she kindly responded, he's right at the end of that hallway." attempting to compose herself, el tentatively walked towards the room. she creaked open the door to see that he had just woken up, ebony hair messy, and eyes bloodshot.
"hey, el... i'm so glad to see you, i...
"MIKE, MIKE, i'm so sorry, you have no idea, i didn't mean to hurt you, i-i love you," said el, tears streaming down her face, as her peint up emotions were finally released.
and right at that moment all the hard feelings washed away, and it was only mutual adoration between the two.
el leaned forward, grasping handfuls of curly black hair, and kissed him more deeply than she has ever before.
