I haven't talked to Jack for almost a week since he and Jack were busy 24/7 it seemed like. So today when I got a text from Jack I was pretty confused.

Aren't you dead? You haven't talked to me in a week, I asked him.

Not yet. But I might be if I don't see you soon.

You're a loser.

I know. But seriously though, lets hang out so I can prove I'm not dead.

Deal.

"Jack's texting you isn't he?" Rianne asked.

"How would you know that?" I asked, confused how she knew already.

"Because you have this face that you only get when you text him."

"Bull-shit. I don't have a face," I argued, although I probably did have a face since whenever I texted him I tuned out the rest of the world. Rianne pulled out her phone and started scrolling. She finally stopped and showed me the phone. There was a picture of me, my eyes were lit up like Christmas trees and I had a faint smile on my face. "When did you take a picture of me?"

"I don't know, a few weeks ago," she shrugged.

"That's really freaking creepy, Rianne."

"It's not that creepy."

"Yes it is." If it was anyone else it probably would have been even creepier but since it was Rianne and she was one of my best friends it really seemed like nothing. I had pictures of her on my phone so we were even.

"Are you going to tease me again?" I asked as I walked into Jack's house.

"No. Not if you don't tease me."

"I make no promises," I smirked.

"You're the biggest tease I know, Lakyn Ellis."

"Just get married already," Jack Johnson appeared.

"Yeah right," I muttered but my face was hot. Jack Johnson walked out the door and Jack and I were silent.

"Lakyn, I wasn't kidding either time that I told you I still loved you," Jack eventually said.

"I wasn't kidding either."

"So where does that leave us?"

"I don't know. Where do you want it to leave us?" I asked.

"Do you want to get back together?"

"Do you want to get back together with me? Is the better question."

"Why wouldn't I?" he questioned.

"I don't know. I'm me and I'm stupid."

"I'm stupid for letting you go the first time and I really don't want to lose you again," Jack confessed. I leaned in a kissed him. Not teasing him, just a normal kiss. "Is that a yes?"

"If it had been a yes or no question then the answer would have been yes," I laughed.

"You're such a smart ass," he smiled.

My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out. I was walking back to my dorm. It was a message from Sam.

Hey. Can we talk?

About what? I responded.

Just please call me.

We both knew I wasn't going to call him. I put my phone back in my pocket and kept walking towards my dorm.

"Where have you been?" Madison asked when I walked in, but she was so quiet I almost didn't hear her, which was unusual for Madison.

"Jack's. But more importantly, why are you so quiet?" I questioned.

"I lost my voice."

"How?"

"Hand foot and mouth disease," she explained.

"Isn't that a disease toddlers get? You're 20."

"I don't know. I'm weird."

"Yeah."

"So what happened at Jack's?" she squeaked out.

"Nothing. Just the usual."

"You two are the most confusing people ever."

"Maybe, you should leave campus once in a while too," I suggested.

"Good one, Lakyn," she laughed. Madison left campus a lot, but it was always when she went out to do boring things. She liked to do the most pointless things. Or they seemed pointless to me anyway. She would go places to learn make up tips and hair tips, because she thought that made her interesting.

Rianne walked into the room and I only just realized that she hadn't been here.

"Wait, if Rianne wasn't here, how did you get in?" I asked Madison confused.

"Rianne let me in before she left. She only went to her car."

"I'm so confused right now. Whatever," I said.

I sat on the edge of my bed and pretended to listen to Madison talk about conturing make up for the third time this year. I had been gone for a whole year so knows how Rianne had survived listening to her talk about stupid stuff all day.

"Finally, she's gone," Rianne sighed with relief as the door closed behind Madison. "What really happened between you and Jack?"

"Nothing," I lied.

"Shut up you filthy liar."

"I swear nothing happened." I didn't really want to make a big deal about it, at least not at this very second, which isn't something you'd expect from someone who had been wanting this for months now.

"Whatever you say," she rolled her eyes.

I still laid awake at 3 in the morning, the realization that Jack and I were dating again just now hitting me. I laid in bed and I couldn't stop smiling. No matter how much I tried to force myself asleep I just couldn't. I listened to Rianne snore from her bed, which made me laugh even more than I already was. I tried not to laugh loud enough to wake her up so I ended up sounding like a dying animal.

I started to get tired at 4 and I was happy that I didn't have any classes tomorrow. I rolled over so I was face to face with the wall and closed my eyes, my smile still not going away.

I'm sorry this part sucks but I'm trying to write whenever I can, which isn't very often since I have volleyball on Saturday's and sleeping all day Sunday.

Guys.... I started writing another story and I'm really excited for this one. I know say that about every story but oh well. I don't know when I'm going to post the first part since I don't have a title or cover for it yet and I take forever to make covers (yet they still suck).

Anyway, thanks for reading!
