"I told you that you would get sick, dumb-ass." I told Jack. "This is what you get." Jack was now the one with a fever and throwing this stomach up. This just meant, it was my turn to take care of him. I looked down at Jack who's usually tan skin was alarmingly pale. We were at his and Jack's house and he was laying in his bed and I was sitting next to him with my legs in criss-cross style.

"I'll be fine," he said but paused, as if he were going to add more. "Eventually." he finally added.

"Whatever, as long as you're good before you leave in a few days."

"The actual tour doesn't start for a week, I'll be good by then," Jack assured me.

"You hope you'll be fine by then."

"Do you want me to be sick forever?"

"Not necessarily, no," I smiled.

"Not necessarily?" he questioned.

"You brought this upon yourself, Jack."

"I hope you get sick again."

Just as the words left his mouth he brought his trash can to his face and I heard the sound of liquid hitting the sides. I stood up and waited until Jack moved his face up and looked at me again. "Give me the can," I demeaned and he handed it over. I had been cleaning up his vomit all day so he didn't have to get up. When I was sick I didn't want to move so I figured I'd be a good girlfriend and not make him suffer any more than I knew he already was.

I rid the can of Jack's bile and took it back to him before he blew chunks all over himself or his bed. "Thanks baby," Jack said as I walked back into the room.

"You're welcome," I smiled and sat down next to him again. "Where's Jack? Couldn't he have taken care of you?"

"I don't know. I don't keep tabs on him every second," Jack responded.

"You're so lucky I love you or I'd leave you to take care of yourself."

"I know I'm lucky," he said and grabbed my hand.

"Not today, lover boy. I'm not trying to get sick."

"You're not okay with holding my hand but you'll clean up my vomit?" Jack questioned.

"You're also so lucky you're sick so I can't hurt you," I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

Jack grabbed my hand again and this time I let him. I sat next to him, our hands intertwined until I felt his hand go limp. I looked down at him and he was asleep. I let go of his limp hand and pulled out my phone. I scrolled through all my social media for two hours and Jack was still asleep. I turned on his t.v and started watching it. Another hour had passed before Jack woke up.

I heard Jack moan and he stretched out on his bed. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Three hours." I answered. "How do you feel now?"

"I still feel like shit. But less than I did three hours ago." he answered and smiled up at me.

"That's... good. I think," I said, letting out a small laugh.

Jack moved his head so that it was laying on my thigh. I could feel how hot his head was through my sweatpants. "You're on fire, Jack."

He just shrugged.

"I'm sorry, but please get your head off of me, I'm going to start sweating," I said. He moved and laid on his stomach again. I laid down too and put my hand on his back and started scratching up and down. Jack tensed at first but soon relaxed. "Why'd you jump?" I questioned.

"You just caught me off guard, you never scratch my back," he answered.

"There's a first time for everything." I laid there scratching his back for a few minutes before I heard Jack laugh a little and I looked at him. I saw him holding his phone, taking a SnapChat video. I smiled and Jack ended the video.

"Gilinsky, you're going to get it some day." I threatened. "Do you have to broadcast our relationship to everyone?"

"Yes." he said simply.

"Why?"

"Because everyone needs to know how much I love you." he elaborated. I didn't know if it was actually a good enough excuse but it seemed sufficient to me at the moment. I stopped scratching and just rested my hand on Jack's back.

We laid like this for a while before I decided it was getting late and that I needed to go home. I stood up and Jack looked at me.

"I have to leave. It's getting late," I answered, noticing Jack's confused face.

"Okay. Thank you for taking care of me, Lakyn," he said.

"You're welcome. Let's just hope I never have to do it again," I giggled.

"I love you."

"I love you, too, Jack," I told him and walked out of his room.

As I was getting into my car my phone went off, telling me I had a text message. I pulled out my phone and as soon as I saw who the message was from my heart dropped. It was from Sam. I started reading it and anger washed over my body. He knew I was dating Jack again, why did he have to interfere with my relationship.

Lakyn, I know you're dating Jack but I had to tell you something. I love you and I always will. Dating Alaska was a huge mistake and things are over between us. Please talk to me. I'm not trying trying to get between yours and Jack's relationship, I just want to talk to you.

Hey guys, I know I've been lacking lately but it's been an exciting/hectic weekend and I still have a crap ton of homework. Good thing I don't have school tomorrow.

I'm done with volleyball and basketball isn't for a couple weeks so I'll probably (don't hold me to it) be posting more often.

Thanks for reading
