I shook my head before heading off inside and into my room
'KIRA DINNERS GONNA BE READY IN AN HOUR. HONEY' my aunt said
'OKAY' I yelled back and just collapsed onto my bed
It was almost half 6 and i was ready to to collapse
Thankfully no shitty school for 2 weeks so I can actually get myself together
I heard cars being revved outside and i my eyebrows furrowed together in curiosity
I pushed myself off my bed and Walked towards the window and i saw 2 boys get out and meet with liam
Huh maybe the friends he was talking about
I headed outside my room and decides to go for a little walk around the house
'Huh many rooms' i thought to myself
That's my aunt and uncles bedroom
Don't wanna go in there
2 spare bedrooms and at the end of the corridor there was a golden plate screwed onto the door carving in the word
OFFICE
It's probably just a bunch of work shit and just then something silver caught my eye by the door
I bent down to pick it up
It looked like the point of a blade
'What you doing there' my uncle said
'Nothing. I just found this on the floor. It reflected onto the light on the ceiling' i said giving into to.him and he analysed it
Very very carefully
'It looks like it came out of the handle or something. Don't worry about it. Why don't you go help your aunt cook dinner' he said and pulled me into a hug kissing the top of my forehead
I flashed him a smile and ran down the stairs and into the kitchen
'What are we making today' i asked and looked into the oven
'Lasagna' i said and she laughed
'It's my favourite' she said
'Mine too. How about we clean up and i make some tiramisu' i said
'You can cook that' she asked quite shocked
'Yeah. Mum taught me and my brother as kids how to cook. They were always on business trips so we had to keep ourselves fed. That's where the competition kicked in. We betted on every single little thing we could. Like who could run to that tree fast or who could race the fastest to a certain location ' i said laughing to myself and that soon went away as anger and guilt came over me ass tears welled in my eyes
I tried to compose myself and turned away and just focused on the dessert
'Honey it's okay to cry. It's okay to just cry because it makes a more clear path for you. I love you okay. No matter what' she said and hugged me and i just kept my composure
After the tiramisu was made i laid it on the table and my aunt cut the lasagne and soon my uncle came down
'Woah dessert too' he said
'Kira made it' she said and he looked a taken back
'Well im hungry let's dig in' he said and we ate and just talked
That was the first time in a while i had a home cooked meal
It was just always fast food or microwaveables
