"Why do you look so pale, Haddock?" the god of the moon laughed, his hair gleamed in the sunlight of Asgard, his blue eyes matched the stars in mirth at his long time friend, "You should be celebrating Ostara* with the rest."

The god looked at his friend from his perch in the large gardens, his seemed to fit in with the background, easily over shined and over looked by the other gods. He was not as brutishly large, though he did stand taller yet his limbs paid him no compliment by being formed with long ropes of muscles rather than the great bulk of Thor. He was dressed in his best cloths, adorned with of furs and golds of his travels and hunts yet he found that he did not even compare to Loki.

"What would be the point, Jack?" he replied, his green eyes looking sullen, "I will be given no egg nor rabbit. You do realize that I am hardly of Asgard?" The man looked at the other with annoyance written in his brow. Unlike the god of the moon, he was not so blessed with such other worldly features. He was much too plain, freckled and ungodly.

Jack rolled his eyes at his friend, pushing back his white cloak to raise his staff up to the banister tree. He hooked the end around the other gods foot and with a pull brought him down to the ground with a yelp.

"If you are here, than you are of Asgard." Jack replied with a smirk at the fallen man. Hiccup glared at him as he stood, brushing dust from his pants and cloak, his furs around his shoulders were of the softest kind and held no dirt to them.

Jack poked the god in the stomach with the hook of his staff,

"There is something you are not telling me, friend." he said with a raise of his brow. Hiccup looked away from his prying eyes, a redness to his cheeks.

"It is none of your concern, friend." he replied, refusing to look at the man like a naughty child telling a lie. Jack chuckled as he tried to walk away from him, yet the moon god simply followed right on his heels.

"You are always my concern, for if I did not concern myself with you, what would become of you, stigandr*?” The god chuckled, tapping the end of his staff on the back of the mans head.

The taller god flinched and turned with a half hearted glare,

"I would be sane, you ódæll beiskaldi*.”

Jack only laughed, keeping in step with his brooding friend. They both walked through the gardens while the moon god purposely lead the walk towards the great fields where the festival was being held. Asgard was covered in the flower and harvests of new spring, the winter had passed and so the gods rejoiced in the festival of fertility and renewal. Rabbits were the symbol of the festival, hung in tapestries and given in pendants as a sign of re-emergance and reproductive ability. Thus the flirting and sexual adventures of the gods during this time.

Jack smirked, “Are you avoiding anyone?” he asked though he knew his answer. Hiccup stiffened and his cheeks grew warm. The moon god laughed, “So it is true! What have you done this time, kappi*?”

Hiccup rolled his eyes but gave a sigh as they walked down the golden pathways, “Nothing of new yet stings rings of old.” he answered in a sarcastic mumble.

Jack’s brow furrowed, “You defeated the giants and saved the goddess. you are considered a hero by her brother and Odin. She has sang your praises but has yet to find…you..” his blue eyes narrowed at the trainer of beasts.

"You have been avoiding her haven’t you?" he asked. Hiccup ran a hand through his messy brown locks, his armor and leather clinking with the movement.

"I do not know what to say to her! Every time i see her I forget my voice and I cannnot look like more of a fool." the man sighed.

Jack shook his head before tapping the back of his Hiccup’s head with his staff once more,
