Vulnerable

Lumipas ang mga araw na para bang normal lang at tila walang insidenteng nangyari.

After what happened, I never saw Sky Ethel again. I don't know what happened to her but I guess the heavens heard my prayers to not let our paths crossed again. I thank them for that.

I also started attending private sessions with the specialist that Doctor Zamora recommended on me.

Isang beses sa isang linggo kung pumunta ako roon and I chose Sunday, every afternoon so that no one would notice it. Well, except for someone and I guess you know who it is.

Tuwing Linggo, Xamiera would accompany me to my appointment with Doktora Miranda, at hanggang ngayon ay namamangha pa rin ako kung papaano niyang napapayag ang kapatid ko sa gusto niya.

Dave's voice still lingered on the back of my mind.

"What? You've totally gone crazy, Xam!" Marahas na alma ng kapatid ko nang kausapin siya ng babae.

Taas kilay na tinitigan siya ni Xamiera. "Ang OA ha, ako naman ang kasama niya. She's safe with me."

Humalakhak si Dave, "Iyon na nga eh, as long as she's with you, she will never be safe. I cannot compromise my sister's safety." His voice is laced with sarcasm.

Siguro ay ganoon niya lubos na kakilala ang kaibigan kaya niya nasabi iyon.

His judgement towards the girl justified his decision.

Paano mo nga naman pagkakatiwalaan ang isang tao pagdating sa seguridad kung alam mong ang taong iyon ay siyang kapahamakan mismo?

Xam's face hardened as she stared at my brother seriously.

"Are you mocking me right now, Darrius Velix Lastimosa de Huestas?" Her voice was so cold it really send chills down on me.

At nasisiguro kong hindi lang ako ang nakakaramdam ng takot sa ipinapakita ngayon ng bagong kaibigan, because looking at my brother right now, he looks like on the verge of giving up and just letting Xamiera do what she wants just to stop her madness.

This girl is really mysterious. There's something about her, and she's dangerous. Way too dangerous...

But my brother, no matter how scared he is he looks right now, remained hard with his decision.

"She's my sister..." he blurted as he let out a deep sigh after minutes of staring contest with Xam. "Kung alam mo lang kung bakit ako nagkakaganito Xamiera, sigurado akong maiintindihan mo ako."

That's what he said before Xamiera forcefully dragged him somewhere and when they came back, a triumphant smile is etched on her face.

I know why she's like this. Desidido siyang tulungan ako and I'm beyond grateful for that.

Xamiera, no matter how bad, rebel and delinquent girl she is in the eyes of people, also have a soft spot in her heart.

She's real. Genuine. At hindi ako nagsisising ipinakilala siya sa akin ni Rence.

I stare at her unconsciously.

Sa tingin ko ay hindi uso ang salitang imposible pagdating sa babaeng ito.

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang ginawa niya at maging si Jerem ay napapayag niyang huwag nang sumama sa amin. Everytime I'd asked her, ngingisihan niya lang ako at mananatiling tikom ang bibig.

Kagaya ngayon, kakatapos lang ng session ko and we're currently here at the mall, walking endlessly because she's just pull me here for a walk.

I realized, being with this girl is too much.
