KAYLNNS POV

After school I went to the davenports house because I wanted to apologize to Chase for yelling at him like that. The thing was I couldn't find him I looked all over the house trying to find him but couldn't eventually I gave up and snuggled up under a blanket with my favorite book series Tigers Curse I was on the second book Tigers Quest this was my third time reading this series this year. Which is honestly disappointing last year I read it about 6 or 7 times, well I guess since the last book just came out their is more to read but still... oh well. You might think I'm crazy for reading this much especially one book series this many times but I love rereading books and this series is exceptionally awesome. (A/N not as awesome as PJO but is a close second) Anywayyys.... back to the point I was sitting on the couch curled up in a blanket reading. Time flew by as I read the adventures of Kelsey and the black tiger Kishan( who is my fav!). Eventually people went into the kitchen to prepare dinner. And like always I got stopped on a cliff hanger for supper. Dang it I was just at the part with them reaching the metal bird nest.( hopefully I'm not spoiling anything I'm trying to keep it vague as possible)
I got up folded my blanket, put it and my book in my room and got washed up, then went down and sat at the table which had multiple leaves in it seeing as how many people there were. I sat next to Chase even though there was some akwardness between us. I decided after dinner I would apologize to him.
When everyone started to clear their stuff away I followed suit and grabbed Chases hand. "I need to talk to you." I told him and pulled him to an empty corner. I took both his hands in mine and looked up in his eyes. " I just wanted to say sorry for lashing out at you like that." I paused thinking of the best way to put my next words " there is just some things in my life that I want to protect you from. I wouldn't want anything bad happening to you." I shook my head trying to get the tears out of my eyes. Even still a picture keeps popping up in my head. Chase surrounded my monsters, me trying ti get to him but it's too late. I was to slow.
I snapped out of it I wouldn't let that happen he cant figure it out. Chase brought his fingers under my chin and forced me to look up at him. "You know I can protect myself." I doubted it the shock of the monsters would paralyze him and then they would have no competition. It would be over.
"No Chase you dont understand, you wouldn't be able to protect yourself. You dont even know what the dangers are. So please stop trying to figure stuff out." I told him pleading with him to drop it. But something caught his attention, he straightened up took his hands from mine and looked down at me with a cold stare.
"But you know." He said barely audible if I wasn't a demigod with enhanced senses then i probably wouldn't of been able to hear it. " You know about us!" He said his voice louder but shakier(A/N is that a word?) I give him a questioning glance. " Mr. Davenport told me that you knew about us being Bionics." He looked at me straight in the eyes. I felt like I just got punched. I let out a soft 'Oh'. "Is it true?"
I didnt know what to do I stood there like a deer caught staring into headlights. I let out a soft 'yeah' and look down at my feet feeling ashamed. I dont know exactly why maybe because I knew his big secret but he didnt know mine or ours I guess that's why I couldn't tell him at least without the others consent. If I gave away mine then the others are also pretty obvious.
"Do the others know?" I asked.
"No he only told me." He replied. Then a thought accrued to me.
" he didnt tell you anything else right?" I asked him a new question
" no not much just that y'all are related and go to this camp together."
I let out a sigh of relief I smiled up at him. "Yes that is all true in fact Annabeth is my half sister. We dont look anything alike though she takes more after our mom and I take after my dad." I informed him. Then I felt the guilt agian. I took hold of one of his hands agian and started playing with his fingers to embarrassed to look him straight in the eyes and my ADHD did not do good in situations like this. " look I want to tell you, i feel really guilty even but I'm sorry I cant tell you. It's not just my secret to give away it's our whole family's and family friends. I'm sorry just I can't tell you. But maybe someday when the time is right I can tell you." I kiss him on the cheek and walk into the girls bedroom and lay down thinking about what just happened. I meant every single word I said.
Eventually i drifted off to a dreamless sleep for once. Lucky me!
Time skip dedicated to May Castellen(I really hope I spelled that right)
Today is December 13th, my birthday of course only the demigods knew this (well mainly Annabeth since of course shes my half sister...)
I woke up to someone poking my face. "Wake up!" I instantly shot up and hit my head on the ceiling since I was on the top bunk. Who always puts the tallest girl on the top. I somehow always manage that. The charmspeak wears off after a few seconds and I glare at Piper.
"Ooooo Pipes you better run." She does as told the boys were also in the room for some reason. I jump down and chase after her once the boys made a path to get past them. We ran around the house but I stopped in the kitchen realizing the sight before me.
Percy was making pancakes I guess he wasn't in that group I didnt see who all was upstairs i was just focused on getting Piper. Ok back on track. Percy was standing by a griddle making pancakes with a frilly apron on. It once was white but now it was covered in blue.
"Uh hi perce." I told him. Apparently I surprised him because he jumped 5 feet in the air. Hey what do you expect were demigods we can be pretty agile.
Percy looked horror struck and tried to hide the pancakes and stuff. "Hey! What are you doing down here?" He then muttered something under his breath but I was too far away to hear him even for me.
"Uh sorry, I'm not going to steal your blue pancakes dont worry." I said as I walked backward out of the room like I just upset a carnivore that was very protective of his blue food. Oh wait. That describes Percy. You never mess with his blue food I found out from Annabeth and because of this knowledge he gives me some blue cookies every now and then since I dont press him like the others. Dont get me wrong I love blue cookies just I like to be smart and kind about it. Unlike others *cough Leo, Thalia cough*. As I was walking back my Athena instincts kicked in and I knew there was a pretty big chance that someone was waiting for me on the side of the door way trying to scare me. So when I got just to the edge I spun around lightning fast whipped my arm around the corner and grabbed the person I heard a yelp and pulled them into the kitchen
"Valdez did you think that would work on me?" Then I felt a presence behind me, hmmm who would be the only other person besides Percy and Leo that would prank? I knew it instantly. "Adam what do you think your doing?" I asked him not even glancing behind me.
"Umm... I was just going to grab some breakfast?" He more of asked then was telling me. I turned towards the strong Bionic.
"Well I would believe you but seeing as your voice went up at the end of the sentence you asked it as a question and there for you made up an excuse to sneak up behind me... dont you dare move a skinny little muscle Valdez, I'm not done with you either." I told him "just because it's your 16th birthday does not mean you can boss us around, that's Annabeths job." Leo grumbles.
I smile brightly at Adam "now continuing what I was saying... seeing as how close you are and your body angle tells me that you were sneaking up on me. I can most definitely find more proof if you wish?" I ask with an eyebrow raised. He shakes his head and looks to his right and walks away. "Now for you Valdez your punishment is to give me your present to me now." I explain to him.
He smirks "Oh and what makes you think I got you a present? Hmm?" He snaps back.
I smirk back at him and in his eyes I see fear. "Oh just you know you are one of my best friends and my best pranking partner." Yes oh gasp I prank I know I can have a sense of humor sometimes.
