Ji-soo fell flat onto his bed. His body sinking into his memory foam mattress. Kicking his shoes off with each foot, his muscles relaxed into themselves- tired after a long day of work and drinking.Jackson's comment was still floating through his mind
Closing his eyes, he watched back the day again. Recalling each moment piece by piece.
Almost drifiting off into a peaceful sleep, the sound of glass shattering took him by surprise.
Originally he thought it was a dream but decided the sound was to loud to come from his unconscious and subconscious brain.
Initially thinking someone had broken into his home, Jo-soo stood up and popped his head around the door.
He was greeted with an empty apartment like usual.
Knowing it couldn't come from anywhere else, he stood on top of his bed and placed his ear onto the ceiling.
Noticing the chips of flaking paint, he reached out to pull them off.
He tutted with dismay as it set off a chain reaction, with other bits falling and crumbling into pieces.
Another loud crash made him flinch.
The noise unlike the other was followed by muffled talking.
Well you couldn't really call it talking. More like screaming.
Ji-soo pushed his ear further into the ceiling trying his best to make out what was being said.
"Listen to me"
And then he heard a sound.
A sound of pure pain.
It was painful to listen to.He couldn't even imagine what caused the noise.
Shocked, Ji-soo dropped onto his mattress. His landing making no noise due to the softness below him.
He sat their with his head in his hands, going over what he heard and what could be done.
On one side, his brain thought, it was not his place to go and ask a out someone private life. Its invading and demoralising towards the people involved.
But on the other side, he again thought, if someone is in pain or trouble the correct thing is to help them with what ever may concern them.
He knew someone else problems were not his fault, but for some reason he felt responsible for the pain the girl felt in the lobby earlier- he should of stepped in and told the guy to stop.
he was always too busy worrying about himself to worry about others. Perhaps Jackson was right and he should take responsibility for something.
Do the right thing... right?
Ji-soo stood up in question. His mind fighting a loosing battle.
He knew what kind of a person he was.
He knew his mind was already made up.
He knew he was going to go up there, even if he didnt want to.
