I get in my car and drive over to Cindy's Cafe. Cindy's is a cafe and deli that we hang out at all the time. And it's the place to go to talk with friends on a rainy day. I pull into the parking lot and walk into the cafe. I spot Dustin at our usual table in the back.

"Hey Dustin! Why'd you want to talk to me?"

"The thing is Dash, I've been having dreams of you this last month. I just don't get it. Why would I have dreams of you while you and Blakely have been having dreams about each other. That is what doesn't make sense to me."

"Dustin the thing is, I've had dreams about both of you. I just dream about Blakely more than I do you. So I'm sure he's my Chosen Vampire and not you. But we should talk to father about this."

"No! We can't do that. We need to figure this out alone."

"Then why did you not tell me this when I was breaking up with you during lunch?"

"I don't know Dash. I really don't know."

"Well, I'm gonna tell my father Dustin. This is important. And he is the Head Councilman of the vampires. He needs to know."

"Dashia, if he finds out about this, there could be a disaster."

"There could be an even bigger disaster if he DOESN'T find out about it Dustin!"

He sighs. "You're right. He should know. I just thought you should know about it."

I drive home contemplating how I'm going to tell father about the situation. Dad is home when I arrive, surprisingly. And I recognize my aunts blue Chevy Malibu in the driveway. I walk into the kitchen where my mom and aunt are starting dinner.

"Aunt Holly! You're here!" I hug aunt Holly around her stick thin waist.

"Why hello darling. It's so good to see you. And I brought you some birthday presents from Chicago."

"Holly! You needn't buy this girl anything." My father says, walking in and winking at me.

"Isaac you bunny! You know I missed her birthday. I have every right to give her presents!"

"Sister you know I'm only joking with you. And you look gorgeous from that Chicago sunshine!"

"Daddy." I cut in.

"Yes sweetheart?"

"Can I talk to you please. It's really important. Like needs important father attention, important."

"Ya sure honey. I can do that." Father says with a concerned look at my mom.

We step outside onto the back patio. My dad closes the door and while we walk over to the patio chairs, I walk behind and look at my father like I know him to be. Brave, strong, smart, powerful, and a one-of-a-kinda family man that loves the people he has beside him. We sit down across from each other.

"Dashia? What do you want to tell me?" and I told him everything from my dreams to meeting Blakely to Dustin's dreams. And when I was finished, he looks at me once then says, "This calls for a council meeting. My dear, I'm sorry but I have never heard of this ever happening in any of the Relics."

The Relics are Sacred text about everything in vampire history. Every High Councilman has to have every major event recorded in a volume as they occur so that they are accurate. "In the meantime Dashia you must stay away from Blakely until matters can be solved. I advise you to stay in your relationship with Dustin for the time being. You should be better off."
