Ch.8: HeartBroken

"Look mads I only did that cuz I saw Kevin coming. I don't really like that guy and I think he likes you so I did it so he can back off. He isn't the right one. I'm just looking out for you. Plus I don't date people and I don't like people either. It was just a kiss and it doesn't mean anything." Brandon said.

"What?!" I said.

                                         ***

"Yea. Anyways I have to go. I'll see you later." Brandon said while getting up and leaving

"Wait!"

"What?" Brandon asked.

I started tearing up but I tried not to. It was hard not to cry since I really thought he did mean that. But what did I expect. He's just like the rest of them.

"You're a dick. Don't do that to me again and don't talk to me again." I cried.

I got up and ran upstairs. I went to my room and shut the door.

The way he said that...had no emotion he was smiling throughout all of it.

I started crying and crying and crying until I had no tears left.

                 2 hours later

I went downstairs to get a snack hoping I didn't bump into Brandon.

I looked like a mess. My eyes were red after all the crying and I had a runny nose.

I tried looking for something to eat but there was nothing that I could find.

I heard people coming downstairs and i panicked knowing Brandon was there so I went and hid in the bathroom.

Caleb was talking to his friends about some girl he's dating.

They were all going to the pool so when I heard them stop talking I came out and OH! LOOK! Guess who I saw.

Fucking Brandon.

He turned around and I just stared at him for a few seconds and left. I went to the living room and Brandon decided it would be a good idea to follow me.

I turn on the tv and sit down making myself comfortable.

Brandon sits down next to me and puts his arm around me.

I moved away from him but he got closer. I kept moving away from him and then I fell off the couch.

I got up and I went to the kitchen AND AGAIN Brandon follows me.

"Madeline." Brandon said.

He grabbed my shoulder and turned me around.

"Madeline. What's going on?"

What's going on?! Did he seriously ask that after he said all of those things I swear I'm going to smack the living hell out of him

"Nothing" I said.

"You've got some shit to say and I'm here to listen." Brandon said.
