Taylor's POV

The car ride to the police station was pretty quiet neither of us knew what to say. I was nervous as shit and David looked like he wanted to murder someone. Probably Brian, and tha wouldn't bother me at all. Knowing that he's gone actually put me at rest. For a little while.

I have a bunch of questions swimming through my head. Mainly the same five questions botherng me the most.

1. What do I tel them if they ask 'Why did you wait this long to tell someone'?

2. What if they put me in therapy?

3. What if I waited too long to tell someone and they can't do anything about it?

4. What happens if they bring Brian in for questioning?

5. What happens if Brian is there?

Even though there's probably a 0% chance of Brian being at the Doncaster police station, it still bugged me. I'm just weird like that.

"So do you still sing?" David asked, sparking up a conversation. Good, the silence was bothering me. To me, silence is the enemy.

"Yeah, I go to the college that I always planned on going to. I'm studying to be a music teacher."

"That's cool. Can I hear you? I mean it's been about a year, two years since I last saw you. You're voice has probably changed."

"Yeah, it has. And yeah I'll sing for you. Is there a particular song that you want me to sing?"

"I'd prefer a song that you've written. I always loved your songs." I smiled at him.

"OK hold on let me think of one......" I began to think of all of my songs and which one I could sing. 'The Middle' yeah that's a good one.

"I get this feeling every year

The first days of winter

Pull out that box of souveniers

To read your old letters

 And the stack of memories

From the notes you left for me

It almost feels like you're still here

I hear your voice in every word

You told me to remember

Take each day

And make it last

'Cause you turn around

And the future is the past

Here and now

Is all we have

The beginning and the end

Mean so little

What matters most

Is what's in the middle

Makes me smile

When I look back

To every summer

You forget your birthday and just laugh

Say 'It's just a number'
