To sum it up Finn basically had a shitty relationship with his dad. He was a drunk loser who would come home and abuse his mom and him every other day. So when Finn found his dad hanging from the ceiling at the age of only 12 he wasn't really sad. He was actually kind of at peace. Of course he would have to act upset so his friends wouldn't find out how shitty his dad really were. His mom then started drinking which resulted in his brother being the one to take care of Finn. Even though his brother did a great job Finn still got involved with the wrong kind of people. He did some drugs even though he never was addicted to them. He just liked the idea of it. Feeling nothing. He then started drinking when high school started and it became part of his weekend routines. Until he started to feel sick. At first he had cancer, I don't know which one because he wouldn't tell but I could tell it was serious. But he says he's 100p cured but then just about one year later he got sick again. His mom drove around to all different hospitals but none of them felt right. At this time Finn was in his band which he loved very much but he had to give that dream up since he thought he were going to die. At one of the hospitals he met iris. Iris mom had brain cancer and she wouldn't make it He could tell. Iris' mom died on their 3 month anniversary and Finn was there to witness her grief and the thought of him dying and hurting her again plagued him so much that when his mom told him they were moving he immediately knew he had to break up with her. It took him a total of 1 week to get the guts to do so but it went well, at least he thought. As a girl I can clearly imagine her brain haunting her with thoughts about how she's not good enough. But Finn really seems to have loved her. Then when he had broken up with her he left. Without saying goodbye to anyone. He just left them and came here. The first couple of days they wanted to have a little vacation here but was rudely interrupted by Finns multiple sicknesses. Then next he knew he was here. Haven't been anywhere since that.
"so what do you think about it here?" I ask
"It's okay" he answers
"Just okay?" I push
"Well it's a little better now that I have a friend to keep me company and listen to me complaining" he jokes
"Friend?" I ask
"Yeah? Why not?" He says carelessly
"Friends" I say under my breath smiling
