The first thing a person need to do is to accept that you have the virus. It is your wrongdoing that leads you to this situation but do not judge that we have no right to live. Actually, we are like those people who has high blood and diabetes. We need acceptance, understanding and support.
But that is contradiction to our society today. Stigma , associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person. This is a problem most PLHIV are facing nowadays. This is the reason, we remain anonymous but I wish that people will open their heart to understand and also to be aware.
I am here to give awareness and education so that our young generation will not come to this path also. Not only our young people, but then anyone that maybe a victim of this virus.
If we have good education or if our society opens to this kind of topic, then we can stop the virus transmission and we can help PLHIV.
I believe that as human, an a claimed Christian, hating or categorizing PLHIV as sinner cannot help them but degrading them and feeding their fear to depression and death.
As a PLHIV, I accepted it and the first thing I did was to prepared how to live as one. But others were different and as neighbors, what can we do to support or help others who were categorized as sinners, unclean, promiscuous, and many words thrown to PLHIV.
If you are a mom or a dad, your daughter, or a son reveal to you that he has the virus, will you accept him or her?
If you are a daughter or a son, then your parents, your mom, or your dad reveal to you that he or she has the virus, will you accept them and support them?
This is the main truth that fear our PHIV community. Share your ideas please.
