Chapter 2

Today I realized something, my mom always says to do what you want others to do to you. But you know what? she never does that herself. If I do one thing mean to my siblings or others, I get instantly fused out but, she always does something to me or others and then gets mad if you point it out to her. Now how is that fair? It isen't.

The other day we were at Costco. We were about to turn into our parking space as a couple is about to cross the street. Some of course, we stop and let them cross. Well the couple crosses at a very slow pace, no feeling to hurry or at least move faster because they know we were nice enough to let them cross.

And before I say this, let me explain my mom. Shes great of course, loving, nice, thoughtful etc.. but in every beauty is a beast. Her beast is her mouth. She always has something to say. Always has the last word and always fussing. No matter the situation, she will be involved, and if shes not involved, she'll want to know all the details.

Now you probably now can guess what she says. She says, "These dog-on people are moving so slow when they know I'm waiting for them to move. No sense of hurry or anything. I should just run them over if they don't hurry up and move."

Now most people would think this is funny, and don't get me wrong, I think its funny too but, its also rude. Plain rude. It's a difference if every time you cross the street and a car is waiting on you you run or stride faster, but that's not the case.

About two days later, were crossing the street leaving a store and I see a car waiting for us to cross. I start to move faster so they can pass sooner but, that's not going to happen unless everyone blocking their way is moving too. So while I'm moving fast, my mom next to me, is moving slow. As she finally finishes crossing and we head to our car I asked her a question.

"Why did you walk so slow? The car was waiting for us to hurry up and move."

Well her response wasen't a surprise to me, but maybe to you. She said "Why do I have to move faster? They can wait five secs no ones in a rush."

See it dosen't surprise me she would respond that way because I'm just used to it. This situation happens all the time. In different forms, shapes and sizes but either way, it still happens. My mom just might be talking about not eating other peoples food when I eat my brothers goldfish bought especially for him then, she'll go and eat my dads chips that are bought specifically for him. No of course her excuse is "well I'm an adult and your not," but seriously does that change anything? No. Your an adult. Ok and? Ya your older than me and more experience than me etc.. but at the end of the day, your still getting mad at me for doing the same thing your doing.

That's like telling your friend who asked to drink out of your drink "I don't let people drink out of my drink and i don't drink out of theirs," but then going to go drink out of her's the next day. Now in some situations it's different. No one eats my car but me verses no one is allowed to get presents this year, then buying yourself one. I know it might seem fair to you, but that's to you. See no one realizes the truth or the real deal until they experience it themselves.

This might see stupid, like a re-teach of kindergarten. But it kind of is. It's something we grew up learning, and we still don't do it.

"Don't hurt others."

" Keep your hands to your self."

"Threat others stuff with care."

"Use your inside voice."

"Treat other how you want to be treated."

Honestly if everyone followed this rule, the world would be a happy place. But if you look around, do you see they happy place in books and movies? No. Because it donsen't exist. This world is a cruel cruel world. We all have cruel actions and it's difficult to stop them. These actions are never going to go away. But the good news is, we can at least help soften the blow. No matter what it will still be here. Slavery still exists today, so does chicken pox. Although slavery is gone, its not totally gone. And that how we need this to be. We can totally wipe out our "actions plate" and start a new one.

We can be happy and still be thoughtful. Their are lots of things I wish to say and do everyday but instead I keep it to myself. That's what everyone needs to do. Just keep it to yourself so the world can be a better place, no hate, all love. If we shrink the numbers we'll enlarge the hearts.
