Recap
“I really miss Jenny, but I also don’t understand why she pulled such a selfish move and left you and your sister”.
I look over at Emily hoping she can calm me down, but that thought instantly disappears when I see she is clenching her fists so tight her knuckles are already turning white. My mother was also Emily’s mother, and no one insults Emily’s family without the wrath of Emily.
Well, all hell is about to break loose.

I slammed my knife and fork down with so much force everyone jumped in their seats. I stood up so suddenly my chair went flying backwards, but that was the last thing on my mind. His words kept playing over & over, I also don’t understand why she pulled such a selfish move
"How dare you have the audacity to say you miss my mother, you aren't family's heck, you weren't even her friend, and you were just some lousy work college".
“That’s it, sit down this instant" my father’s loud voice sounded.
Emily tried to grab my shoulder in hopes of calming me down, however, I don't think anything could calm me down right now, this is the angriest I've ever been.
I continue my rant " let me tell you something you insensitive dickhead, my mother was far from selfish, she ways looked after me, my sister and my father, before looking after herself. She didn't leave because she wanted to, she left because she ran out of moves and the game of life beat her" I spoke between gritted teeth.
"LAYLAH, THAT’S ENOUGH" my father bellowed.
I could feel tears running down my face; I take one last look at everyone before shaking my head & laughing humorlessly & running out of the room.
Once I reached my room I slammed the door as hard as I could. I was blinded by anger. I grabbed the first thing I could reach, a teddy bear. I repetitively punched it as hard as I could until I have up and just threw it somewhere in my room. I ripped open my closet door and started throwing shoes, clothes, bags... Basically anything I could find. My rampage continued for approximately 15 mins until the sound of shattering glass pulled me back into reality. I blinked a couple of times to get rid of my tears, no not sad tears, but angry tears that just wouldn't stop. Once my vision was clear I took a look around my room trying to find the source of shattered glass, my heart stopped when I noticed it was a photo frame with a picture of me and my mother in it, i was only 2 days old, and the picture has always been in my room, my mother even had it hanging in my nursery. Please please let the photo be okay I chanted over and over again. As I was making my way towards the mess I could easily see that the photo was fine, however that's not all I could see, a piece of white paper or rather an envelope caught my attention. With shaking hands I carefully removed the glass covering the picture and envelope. The letter was clearly addressed to me, as I slowly took the paper out of the envelope I saw my mother’s name signed at the bottom. The first 2 lines caught my attention and I instantly froze. At that moment I realised that my game just turned upside down.
