In the bustling city of Shanghai, crime is at an all-time high. Citizens, however never see it. Many people assume it's a government-related conspiracy. In truth, days are rather peaceful. However, at nightfall, the story changes. Deep within the shadows of society lies the thirsty bloodsuckers, the Zhu family. Or rather, there's only two of them left. The strongest Vampire in existence; Zhu Yuhan, dreams of leading the Vampire race into a new era where they reign supreme. His son; Zhu Wuying, defies his father's wishes at all costs. His father is very controlling and cruel at times. The love he felt from his father seemed to vanish over the years.

"The history of our kind still lives today!" Zhu Yuhan roared. "You, Zhu Wuying are my flesh and blood. You have to start preparing for the day you succeed me!" Wuying shrugged. "What good will that ever do me? I'll never have a social life. I'm not gonna be cooped up in this old mansion for the rest of my life like you." Yuhan groaned, shaking his head. "Will you ever learn that you will never be a human? We are beings of the Darkness. Our Darkness is beyond powerful. Ince you embrace it, that will finally make me proud of you." Yuhan raised his arms in a praising-like pose. "They will all bow to us! No one will ever be able to stop us!" Wuying began walking out. "Yeah, yeah. You're boring me." In a flash, Yuhan teleported in front of his son. "You can't deter your destiny. Accept fate, become the prince of Darkness and join me!" Yuhan held out his strong, cold hand. "My son, I only want what's best for you." Wuying scoffed and smacked his hand away. "If you KNEW what was best for me, you'd stop this shit and let me live my life!" He stormed off, running into the quiet night. Yuhan returned to sitting on his throne as he was prior their conversation. He pondered on what actions to take next." If he would just listen to me, his life would be spared..."

Wuying wandered around for what seemed like an hour, just enjoying the night. If he saw someone, he would always strike up a conversation. Everyone found him so pleasant to speak to, and he loved it. However, this personality was forced. While he did want genuine interactions with humans, he had stopped feeling emotions for a VERY long time. He couldn't remember how or why he lost them. It just kind of... happened. Lost in thought, he found himself deep in the forest just outside the city. He looked around, not recognizing his surroundings. "Where the hell did I go?" He said, huffing under his breath. He began to look around, observing his surroundings and trying to find a way out. Eventually, he spotted two glowing orbs in the distance. "What is that?" Before he had the chance to investigate, the two glowing orbs jumped out of the brush to reveal a strong, handsome werewolf. Wuying, knowing that Werewolves were natural enemies of Vampires, felt his fight or flight reflexes kick in. He took a fighting stance, bracing for what could possibly come next. He'd rather not fight the werewolf, he knew that it would be a hell of a fight. "What are you doing in my territory, tiny?" The werewolf growled. "Not like I meant to..." Wuying said, cautious not to piss off the large man. "Look, I'll leave-" While Wuying was making a hand-gesture to show he was about to leave, the werewolf took that as a threat and lunged at him. "Shit!" Wuying said as he attempted to dodge, but was tackled to the floor. The werewolf snarled above him while pinning him to the ground. "You smell sweet, Vampire. You would make a great snack~" Wuying's eyes darted around, hoping to see someone or something to take the wolf off of him. "... You give me no choice." Wuying swung his head into the werewolf's, bashing the craniums hard against each other. He recoiled back, holding his head in his hands. "Agh- Fucking hell, dude!" Wuying kicked the wolf in the chest. This stunned the larger man, which gave Wuying enough time to get back up and pin him against the floor with his foot. "I'm no one's snack. Just because I'm smaller doesn't mean I'm weak. I'd rather not fight you, but you gave me no choi-" Before he could finish, the man pulled Wuying down by his ankle and pinned him back the way he had him before.

The wolf wanted to attack the man. Maul him to bits for entering his territory. But, his sweet scent and handsome looks were distracting. He used his free hand to punch the Vampire in the face. "I want to kill you right now." He growled. A tear ran down Wuying's face from the pain of the punch. This humiliated the hell out of him. But also, something... deeper hurt. Whatever, he couldn't bother thinking right now. The werewolf was surely stronger than him, as the hit almost had the same amount of strength as his father's. "Why don't you do it already, you mutt? No, you bitch." The werewolf just stared into the Vampire's ruby-red eyes that glowed so brightly in the moonlight. "What? Are you just going to torture me slowly? Like seeing a vampire so vulnerable?" The Vampire said, feeling pain from how tight the werewolf was pinning him down. The man lowered his head into Wuying's neck and gave it a small lick. "... You taste horrible." The man let go of Wuying and stood up. "Get the hell out of here, and don't ever come back." Wuying was generally dumbfounded. He got up, but just stared at the wolf, puzzled as hell. "You're... letting me go?" The man huffed. "If you pussyfoot around, I may change my mind." Wuying scoffed. "Weirdo." Without hesitation, he quickly left the forest, following his own footprints on the way out. "Why... did he let me go? And what was that feeling earlier? Wait-" Wuying stopped in his tracks. "Feeling?" He slowly lifted his hand and placed it on his cold heart. Not a single beat. "Adrenaline. Yeah..."

The werewolf stood right where the Vampire once did. He sniffed the air around him, waiting for the Vampire to leave the forest. Once he did, he let out a long sigh. Another werewolf revealed herself and stood next to the man. "You didn't kill him?" The werewolf did his best to hide a small blush. "He was small and weak. It was too easy..." The female werewolf rubbed his head. "Little brother, you never change." He gave her a glare, but she saw right through it. His face was turning from annoyed to shy smile. "You... think he'll come back?" The female werewolf cackled. "HELL NO! You probably scared him back to life and back to death again! You need to work on your flirting skills, Qin Guanting." Guanting laughed sheepishly. "You're right. He was a cute one. That's one Vampire I wouldn't mind keeping alive~"

Wuying made his way back home. As he was entering the mansion, a dark figure quickly left. After his ordeal, he didn't even bother paying any mind to it. It was probably just another Vampire doing business with his father again. As he stepped in, his father was waiting for him at the door. "Zhu Wuying, why are your clothes destroyed? Did you get into a fight?" Wuying sighed, not feeling any more energy to fight. "None of your business." Wuying walked past his father, brushing him off. "You have to be careful out there- ... I smell dog." Yuhan stopped Wuying and got a closer sniff, which made Wuying uncomfortable. "DID YOU GET ATTACKED BY A FILTHY MUTT?!" Zhu Yuhan yelled powerfully. "No, I hugged a puppy on the way back. Do you mind?" Wuying ran to his room and slammed his door shut behind him. "Definitely not a cute puppy..."  Wuying said quietly. If Vampires had any warmth in their body, he would be blushing. There was something about that wolf. He was... really handsome. And warm... "Zhu Wuying. Pull yourself together!" He slapped his face and shook his head. He began to strip his clothes, revealing his slim, but fit build. He looked at his wrists, where large bruises covered where Guanting held him tightly. "That jerk really did a number on me... And what was his problem, anyway?!" He said, kicking his clothes on the floor. He walked into the bathroom. He observed the mirror in front of him. It had no reflection, but there was something on it. He remember when he was a child, he drew what he thought he looked like on the mirror, and never got rid of it. "At least I'm still handsome. Whatever." He flexed his muscles, pretending to be as big as Guanting. "Big oaf-" He took a shower, and got ready for bed. He always kept his curtains slightly open, he wished he could just walk outside in the sun for once. "One day... I'll be able to experience the warmth..." He drifted off into a slumber. He didn't notice as he was fast asleep, but he was being watched from right outside his window.

Guanting's family had a small house in the middle of the forest. He arrived back with his sister, Lai Yan. They entered the small house and sat at a table in the dining area. "You know, you've really grown." Lai Yan said, smiling. "But you're still a little kid inside as well. You have such a strange personality." She laughed and Guanting followed. "I guess I'm still youthful?" She smirked. "Well yeah, you are the runt from your litter, anyway~" Guanting huffed. "I'm a big man, right?" He flexed his biceps and she burst out laughing hard. "You sure showed them! No longer a small pup, but a big alpha! ... Too bad your personality has to get in the way of that." "Hey!" He shot back. "I could've killed him if I wanted to!" Yan calmed down and looked at him. "You smelled it, didn't you? He smells like you did when I rescued you." He lowered his head. "I don't like remembering that time. I'm not their child anymore." She ruffled his hair. "I know, you're my little bro! It's just the 2 of us, but we're a happy family, see?" She chuckled and hugged him, which he reciprocated and smiled. "But, it is true, he does smell like then... He also smells like the most amazing thing ever~" Guanting's eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store. "You know, it's so funny seeing you so googly-eyed over a Vampire." "He's so different, though! He didn't want to hurt me, he didn't MEAN to come here. He isn't out to hurt us." Guanting kept gushing. "Yeah, I noticed. Though, I know of that Vampire, he's son of the leader." Guanting looked at her, saddened. "His dad must be a real pain, you can tell by the loneliness in his eyes." Yan grabbed his hands. "If we ever see him again? DON'T SCREW IT UP." Guanting nodded his head. "Yeah..." As the night went on, he still couldn't get the Vampire out of his brain. It bugged him like crazy, like an itch he couldn't scratch. "Why...?"

"Zhu Wuying and Qin Guanting..." A young man, in his early twenties can be seen making notes on his phone. "Darkness surrounds them both. If not kept in check, they can easily destroy everything." He sat, then grabbed his sword and swung it around a bit. "I'll eliminate them myself. No mercy." He kept repeating to himself. "... Why is it me who always gets stuck with the icky jobs? Why do I have to be the one?" He sighed and placed his sword back in its sheath. "I guess it can't be helped.  Agh, I hate everything about this..." He said, scratching his head.
