Dawn is nearing closer. Wuying yawned as he became more tired. Guanting looked at him and smiled. "You can sleep in that room over there." Wuying nodded. "T-Thanks..." He walked over to the room and closed the door. Yan looked at Guanting and nudged him. "Good job, you're learning well~" Guanting rubbed his head and blushed. "I try, try~" He made himself more comfortable on the couch. "I gave him my room, I hope he gets used to my scent." Yan looked at him and rolled her eyes. "If he has any sense, he'll run for the hills. The smell of wet dog is not cute." Guanting frowned. "Hey, that attracts some people! If you're soul mates, no matter the scent, you should be attracted!" Yan chuckled. "You're getting ahead of yourself, buddy. You barely even know each other." Guanting smiled a big toothy smile. "You don't know, Yan... I feel something so strong."

Wuying looked at his scenery in the room. The window was decently-sized and had dark curtains covering it. He slightly opened the curtains to let a tiny bit of light in. He smiled. He saw the small wooden nightstand with a picture of 2 kids in a frame. By the looks of it, it was Qin Guanting and Lai Yan. Wuying studied the photo for a few before taking a seat on the bed. It was surprisingly soft. He began to nestle himself in when a scent hit his nose. "... Wow." The smell was like roses. With a slight hint of wet dog. Wuying chuckled to himself as he saw one rose petal on the pillow. He studied the petal over, rubbing it in between his fingers. His crimson eyes crept over to the door, where he saw golden eyes staring at him through the crack of the door. He jumped a bit.

"Can you let someone know when you're near?!" Guanting opened the door fully and stepped inside, like a guilty puppy. "Sorry, I... just wanted to make sure everything was okay..." Wuying looked at his face, and while he wanted to be angry, he couldn't be. But he faked annoyance. "Yeah, I'm fine. You don't need to check on me." Guanting looked down. "I... guess not. It's just in my nature, I guess..." Wuying felt bad, he didn't know what to say. "Uh-uh... Th... This room is... kinda... nice I guess..." Guanting smiled a little and looked at him. "I had just cleaned up this evening." Wuying chuckled. "Were you expecting a guest or something?" Guanting blushed. "N-No... I just... felt like it..." Wuying turned over, hiding his innocent smile. The wolf may be a bit... Overexcited over this random chain of events, but he wasn't a bad guy. More importantly, his company while overbearing, was nice...

Guanting placed his hand on Wuying's. When he did, Wuying's heart once again did a single beat. Wuying turned his head to look at Guanting, who was looking at him sincerely. "I'm sorry about everything that happened... Our place isn't much, but... You're safe here. And with me. I'll protect you." Wuying felt a warmth he never had before. "Y-You don't have to protect me, I'm plenty strong." Guanting knelt down, so that he was closer to Wuying and whispered to him. "I know you don't drink blood. If you did, the attacks I did to you and your father's attacks would've barely phased you." Wuying stood silent. "I won't force you to drink blood. But... If ever there's a time where we're in danger... drink mine..." Wuying blinked, he was certainly shocked by this. "Why... are you so nice to me? You're so caring, you barely know me." Guanting held his hand tighter, which caused his heart to beat again. "I don't know why... But when I'm around you, I just can't control it..." Wuying's once ice-cold hand became just a tad warm. It was such an overwhelming feeling. "G-Good night." Wuying said as he let go of his hand and completely turned over on his side. Guanting stood back up and went in the corner opposite, where he had set up some pillows and blankets. "Good night..."

Wuying pretended to sleep, but once he heard the snores of the wolf, he looked over to the small ray of sunshine peeking in through the window and shining right on Guanting. Werewolves aren't affected by sunlight, and the way the ray shone on his skin was... So beautiful. Wuying couldn't understand why he was feeling this way, but maybe what Guanting was saying had some merit to it. The way Guanting made his heart beat, which he thought would never. The way he feels when he sees him. But, how does one even deal with feelings like these? He hid his entire face except his eyes under the blanket. He just kept staring at him. Guanting's instincts let him know he's was being stared at, and he opened his eyes slowly. Until his eyes met Wuying's staring right at him. They both stared into each other's eyes for a few minutes.

"I-I should sleep." Said Wuying, before turning back over and closing his eyes. Guanting stayed still for a minute, before looking at his hands. Despite all the blood he's spilled, all the fights and trauma he's faced. He looked back to Wuying, who was falling asleep. He thought to himself. "Am I worthy to love?" But when he looked back to a now sleeping Wuying, those thoughts washed away. "Even if I'm not, no matter what, I will keep him safe..." He thought to himself. He quietly moved over to the side of the bed and sat there. He looked over Wuying, making sure he looked comfortable, before settling down himself and falling asleep.

Outside, Lai Yan was picking up a few things for the evening, when in front of her, she spotted Tian Ling. "Who are you? What do you want?" She asked, in a slightly-annoyed tone. He looked at her. "Just strolling through the forest. Sorry for disturbing you..." He said, being polite. She rolled her eyes. "Don't stay around here, it isn't safe." She began to walk away, but he stopped her and asked. "Do you live here?" She turned from slightly annoyed to annoyed. "What do you want?" Tian Ling sighed, he obviously didn't enjoy what he was doing. "Have you seen 2 men around here? One tall buff one, and a smaller thin one. The smaller one has regal-ish clothing. They're friends of mine, and they got lost." She chuckled. "You really should get out of here before you get hurt, kid." She returned to the house, locking the door. Tian Ling watched, then took a photo of the house with his phone. "I won't gain entry, so I'll have to find another way..."

By evening, Wuying began to wake up. He saw Guanting laid out on the floor beside the bed, he was shivering. Wuying as he got up, gently placed the blanket on him, and began to walk out, but before he could, Guanting gently grabbed his ankle. Wuying stopped, as his heart beat again. "W-What is it...?" "S-So cold..." Guanting said, his teeth chattering. "I'll bring you some hot water." Wuying said, attempting to leave. Guanting held him tighter. "Please, hold me..." Wuying smirked. "Nice try, I have no body heat." He shook his foot free and went to the kitchen to get water. Guanting huffed. He repeating in a mocking voice "Nice try, I have no booooody heaaaat~" He pouted and waited for Wuying to get back. Wuying brought back some hot water for Guanting and put it on the floor. "I'll wash up first." He went to the bathroom and began showering up. Guanting drank his water, then stood up. "He's gonna need a change of clothes..." Guanting opened his closet and found an outfit he thought would look on Wuying and put it on the bed. "I need to brush my teeth... Heh..." He tried to sneak into the bathroom, but Wuying was a step ahead of him and locked the door.

Lai Yan laughed. "Awww, your plan didn't work?" Guanting mocked her back. She got up and ruffled his hair. I know how you feel, but the night's gonna be long... He tilted his head in confusion. "Why do you say that?" She sighed. "Someone's looking for you. Might be that guy that killed Wuying's father." Guanting growled. "He's not fucking welcome here." "Hey, hey, relax." She said, holding him back. "He's not around right now. Just be aware, okay?" Guanting growled again and sat in front of the bathroom door, huffing. "Just letting you know, that's a safety hazard." She laughed as she began to cook "breakfast". A few minutes later, Wuying opened the door, covered only in a towel, not noticing Guanting and tripped right over him, landing face-first onto the floor. "I TOLD YOU!" Yelled Lai Yan.

"O-Oh my gosh, are you okay?!" Guanting asked, not sure what to do. Wuying groaned, holding his face. "That amount of force could break my nose, you know..." Guanting stood up, and grabbed Wuying's arms to help him get up. When Wuying got up, he felt colder than he did before. "Uh, thanks..." Guanting's face was beet-red. "Y-Yeah! N-No worries!!" Wuying tilted his head. "What's up with you?" All Guanting could do was point to the floor. When Wuying looked down, he saw his towel on the floor. "..." Wuying made a dash for the bedroom and slammed the door. "W-Wow..." Guanting said, sitting on a chair. "If I see that thing rise, I'll smack it with this wooden spoon." Lai Yan said, pointing the spoon at Guanting in a menacing way. "Y-Yes, ma'am."
