If you are on pinterest, make a board for writing tips, character names, outfits, inspiration, and prompts. Keep all your reference material in one place.
Keep all your reference material in one place. One binder, notebook, folder, app, room, drawer. Keep it in some place that you can find it later.
Write all the time. It doesn't matter if you don't feel like it. Write anyway. Write about anything and everything.
Never stop looking for knowledge. Knowledge is power when it comes to writing and a lot of other things. It is also great for trivia nights.
Buy books that will teach you how to write better. They seriously help. I like 'Story Trumps Structure' quite a bit. Also, read ' How to Read Literature Like A Professor' if you can.
Watch old tv shows and dramas. Read the classics. Research older things. Be cultured.
Keep a list of life hacks that you want your characters to know. Trust me, it makes both them, and you, look more competent.
