Gender Reveal-Steve pt 1

Major fluff ahead.

Sunlight blinded you as you woke up and the day of your baby shower, growling at the sun you throw your legs over the side of you and your husband's bed.

Walking to the shower you heard someone humming behind the door. *knock knock* "Steve? Are you in there?" You ask still half asleep. The water stops and you hear the door click opening up to your husband of 5 years in only a towel drying off his hair with another, smiling down at you "Hows my baby?" Steve asked "Well he or she is doing good kicked me a good one last night wish you could've felt it..." he laughed "I meant you my baby." Wide eyed you stare at him and blush, "oh I'm fine just wanted to take a shower and start the day is all." He wrapped his damp arms around your waist and kissed you on the lips "Good," he sighed "I cant believe it's only a few more weeks till our little trooper makes it here." Steve bent down lifted up your night shirt and kissed your rather large baby bump "daddy cant wait to meet you little one."

Two hours later

"Okay, alright cake goes here the gender reveal ballon and weight will go here, food and snacks over here." Speaking to Sam and Wanda as they did what they were told. You weren't alone to lift or move anything too heavy per your husband's orders and man did the Avenger team make sure they listened. You held the list of the people who said they were coming in your hands "Okay, let's go over this one more time... right now we have Steve, Wanda, and Sam helping right now. Then by 3:30pm there should be Tony, Peter, Vision, Bruce, Natasha, Bucky, Thor, Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Drax, my Mom, Dad, and Sister and other family." You felt and strong pair of arms wrap themselves around you as you read off the list. "I hope your family doesnt get freaked out by us and by us I mean the people that aren't quite human." You turned to face Steve with a smile on your face "my family knows who my husband is and they know he has some out of this world friends, plus I already told them like a million times they should be fine babe." Steve smiled back at you when you feel a sudden kick to your stomach, Steve stared at you in awe "Was that... was that him?" Putting a hand on your stomach he laughs his contagious laugh. "Picking sides already are we?" You playfully scoff at him as he removes his hand from your stomach "Oh I know its gonna be a boy, if the baby can kick that hard already its gonna be a boy for sure." Going back to your decorating doing nothing but smiling at him "you do know that you are a super soldier right? There's no telling what gender it is or what he or she will be capable of." You say hearing cars start to pull up your driveway.

"Let's get this party started!" Tony yelled as every one slowly started filing from inside to outside yours and Steve's house. "This whole thing makes no sense to me. Why must we reveal the gender of the baby when we can find out when she has the baby." Drax asked nudging Quill in the side rather forcefully "Its just something we do Drax, the parents need to pick out the name before it arrives anyways it's always good to know ahead of time." Drax still didnt have a clue as he walked over to the table filled with food.

You hear the chatter and giggles of your sister and Mom come around the corner "Mom! Sissy! I'm so happy you guys made it! Uhm, where's Dad?"
"Hes still at the truck getting our grandson or granddaughters presents." You dad came around the corner with two boxes one big one small and three good sized neutral colored bags. "You didnt spend your entire paycheck did you? You've done that a few times when I tell you not to Momma." She laughed and Pat's you on the shoulder, "for my grandchild I would do anything both you and Steve know that."
"What do I know? Oh, here Paul let me help you with that." He said as he ran over to your Dad helping as much as he would let him. "Steve," he spoke in his low serious voice "you've been married to my daughter for 5 years and you two are about to become parents, I think it's about damn time you start calling me Dad." You smiled at the two most important men in your life and gave Steve a look as he locked eyes with you. "Okay.... Dad let me help you." *kick kick* man they sure are active today you thought as you put a hand to your stomach.

"Alrighty guys! Reveal time!" Wanda yelled out as Steve stood in front of the balloon with his shield in hand and everyone else standing behind him taking video or pictures "Heres how its gonna go babe, you are going to swing your shield at the balloon and it should pop revealing pink or blue." He took a deep breath as he got into his throwing stance obviously nervous "Y/N, what if my shield comes back and hits somebody?"

"You wont, you have lightning fast reflexes I trust you honey." You said giving him a reassuring kiss to the cheek. "Come on old man pop the damn thing already" Bucky yelled, everyone just laughed.

As Steve threw his shield and caught it just before it hit your sister in the face you saw purple glitter and confetti "You turned to Wanda as she was the one who filled the balloon. "Wanda?" She squealed as she couldn't hold back her excitement "YOU TWO ARE HAVING TWINS, A BOY AND A GIRL!" Everyone cheered as you turned to Steve he has fear behind his eyes until he turned to you then the fear turned to joy he picked you up and spun you around just as you felt and strong pain go through your stomach and fell to the ground as your water broke out onto the lawn "STEVE! MY WATER BROKE!"
