Its been three long years since Steve and his team had gone rogue.

Three long years that I have been alone in my home.

Three long years without Steve in my arms.

Three long years since part of my heart had vanished.

I was currently making dinner for myself and pouring a glass of straight margarita. Grilled chicken with steamed veggies. Steve always loved it when i would cook for him. This was the dinner I had cooked when we first met.

I was out jogging in the early morning listening to my music on full blast. I couldn't hear anything outside of Def Leppard Pour Some Sugar on Me. Going around the pond in front of the Washington Monument for the fifth time in the span of an hour, i hadn't heard anyone tell me they were going around me as i turned left at the corner.

I smacked right into what felt like a brick wall, if that wall was made of toned muscle that is. The man had broken my fall even though we had still gotten wet. "Oh my lord I am so sorry!" I panicked getting off of him quickly finding my phone completely submerged in the water. "No I'm sorry i should have noticed you had your headphones in." He apologized as i pulled my phone from the water. "I'll get you a new phone as an apology for running into you. Again I am so sorry miss..." he paused and I looked over to him shell shocked. "Y-you don't have to Steve. I'll deal with it." I denied. "Funny, you know my name but I don't know yours." He laughed and offered me his hand out of the water. Getting out of the water I answer him. "I'm Y/N. I live just down the street," i hesitated, i was really talking to America's Golden Boy.

"Maybe, you could join me for dinner tonight? I'm making grilled chicken and steamed vegetables." I offered. Steve gave me his iconic smile. "I would love to but," my heart dropped. "I have to get changed first." I let go of the breath i was holding and smiled.

And the rest is history as they say

As I finished seasoning the chicken I heard the front door of Steve's apartment we shared open and something hit the ground. I grab a knife and slowly walk towards the door Thank god Steve taught me how to defend myself when he was gone.

Holding it close to me i turned the corner and saw a bearded man with shaggy hair I quickly attacked, the man easily caught the knife with both his hands and threw it out of reach, grabbed my wrists, pushed me against the wall and kissed me passionately.

"I taught you many things but I never taught you how to use a weapon." He purred.

"Steve?" I questioned finally looking up at him.

"Oh my god Stevie!" I yelled and wrapped my arms around his neck very tightly. "You know if it wasn't for the serum, I would be dead right now because you would've snapped my neck." He joked. I quickly let go and gave him a kiss as an apology. "Im sorry Steve! Ew." I pinched my nose and pushed him away from me. "What?" He questioned. I looked at him like he was stupid. "Can you not smell the body odor coming off of you? How long have you been wearing that one suit?" I asked reaching for the ferbreeze and spraying it. "This is the only suit I had since Tony and I had that fight." He curiously sniffed his armpit. "Oh God." I smiled at him and laughed. "Yeah! Go take a shower grease monkey!" Steve looked at me and pulled me tight to his body and smirked.

"Only if you take a shower with me."
