After what happened with Robert a couple of nights ago, he and I have been talking non-stop. Whether it be face-to-face or through text. He's been coming over to my place quite a bit. I don't know if he thinks of this as anything more than a 'friends with benefits' thing. He left to go to Florida though, so I had time to think about it. I did miss him.

You saw us kiss? Uh...
I like him, yes. Okay? Don't tell anyone.

"(Y/N), question," I heard Dwight say as he stared at me.

"Yes, Dwight?"

"How would you like to accompany me on a trip to Florida, you have to pay for yourself of course."

"Why me?" I laughed.

"I thought it'd be fun. We could braid each other's hair and talk about boys on the plane ride," he said in a higher voice and then he lowered it again, "False. I thought you'd want to see," he merely whispered, "Robert."

He then smiled at me.

I put my face into my hands and shook my head.

I looked back to him, "Dwight someone will hear you!," I whisper yelled to him.

Dwight was the only person I told but I'm pretty sure Andy knew. Dwight only found out because he bugged me to tell him what happened. Then he did some weird lie detector test on me. Dwight's my friend when he wants to be, but he is a little much at times. We started talking more a couple of days ago.

"So, (Y/N), are you going or not? I need to purchase the tickets," his face going serious.

I got my card out and handed it to him, "Yes, I'll go.".

He smiled and waved the card away, "I was kidding. I'll pay.".

"Dwight, no."

"Just go talk to Andy about leaving, we are leaving work early and will be back the day after tomorrow. Your cousin is in the hospital," he walked away.

Why'd he have to go and do that? I know he's trying to be nice. I feel weird when people buy stuff for me though.

I got up and walked to Andy's door and knocked.

"Sup, (Y/N). What's crackalacking?"

"Hey, Andy. I need to leave early today and I won't be in tomorrow," I paused, "my cousin is in the hospital.

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I'll write that down and you're good to go."

"Alright, thanks Andy," I smiled.

"No problem, (Y/N)," he smiled and drummed on his desk.

I left the room and went to my desk.

Then I sent Dwight an IM saying, "Just let me know when you're going to leave and I'll leave a few minutes before. Also, thank you for buying my ticket".

He responded quickly, "I'm leaving in 20 minutes.".

I picked up my phone and talked to a client about their paper needs. When I was done talking to her, I put the phone down and looked at the clock. It was time for me to leave.

I collected my things and went to Andy's door.

"Hey, bossman. I've gotta head out now." I stood in the doorway.

"Okie dokie, (Y/N). See ya!"

I walked out of the building and got into my car. I drove to my house and packed a bag. I sat on my couch for a minute. I got a call from Dwight.

"(Y/N), I'll be outside of your house in ten minutes. Be outside." I heard from the other line.

"I'll be waiting," I said and hung up.

I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I fixed my hair so it was half up and half down. Then I grabbed my bag and walked outside. A few minutes later, I heard a car horn beep. I looked up and saw Dwight waving his arm out of his window.

I walked to his car and got in the passenger's seat. I was about to put my bag in the backseat when he took it from me and threw it in the back. When I shut my door, Dwight sped off.

"Are you excited to see, Robert?" Dwight smiled excitably.

I chuckled and looked out the window.

"Well, answer me!" He said still smiling.

"Yes! I am really excited to see him." I looked at him and laughed.

"You know Shrute men, for many generations, have put crow's beaks by the feet of the women they wish to court. If the woman destroys them then they also wish the same, if they don't then they don't."

"Interesting." I looked back out to the window.

Dwight then reached for the volume knob on the radio and rock music began blasting through the speakers. We listened to music on the rest of the way to the airport. We hurried inside and got on the plane.

As soon as I sat down I decided to take a nap. So, I laid my head against the window and muttered, "I'm going to sleep now," to Dwight. Then I shut my eyes and a smile played at my lips, as I thought about seeing Robert. I got comfortable and then waited to fall asleep.
