Everyday for the next month Jake and I avoided each other.
I didn’t know if we were broken up or just upset with each other.
*Friday April 6, 2013*
I walked into school and Jake was waiting for me at me locker.
“What do you want?” I asked coldly
“I want to talk about us.”
“I didn’t think there was an ‘us’ anymore. You’ve only been avoiding me for a month.”
“I know and I was wrong.”
“Yea, you were wrong. I was heart broken thinking that you left me after promising me that we would get through everything together. I don’t want the stupid bracelet to tear us apart.”
Jake took my hand, “I don’t want it to tear us apart either.” He bent down and kissed my cheek.”
“Aww, you guys are back together! I’m so glad I don’t have to pick sides now,” my best friend Lily gushed.
“I’m sure I would’ve picked Sam’s side though,” my other best friend Danny pointed out.
“I feel like Jake was right though,” Lily said.
“Sam,” Danny yelled.
“Jake,” Lily yelled.
“Sam!”
“Jake!”
“Sam!”
“Will both of you shut up,” I screamed.
Instantly, the both looked like terrified puppies.
“We wouldn’t have made either of you pick sides,” Jake admitted.
The bell shrilled; signaling that we needed to go to first bell.”
Jake took my hand and walked me down the hall to class. “Do you want me to meet you at your car after school?”
“Yes, now get to class before you’re late.”
He kissed my cheek and walked away.
I spent most of my classes doodling “Jake + Sam” on all of my papers.
I silently hoped I wouldn’t need those papers if we ever broke up.
The final bell rang.
I skipped happily out of class.
My heart raced because I knew Jake was waiting for me at my car.
“Hey beautiful.”
“Hey Jake.”
“Are you ready to go?”
“Yep.”
Before I could process my thoughts, Jake had snatched the bracelet off f my wrist.
He out the bracelet on and pushed me roughly against the side of my car.
“Jake, what are you doing?”
“I’m getting what you refuse to give me.”
He reached behind me and opened up the back door.
I was shoved inside the car.
“Jake, stop. Please!”
“No, Sam. I’m tired of playing games with you.”
“What games? I don’t remember ever doing anything to you! I even tried to be careful.”
