"Target is a mobile satellite paunch platform, the Lemurian Star. They were setting up their last payload when pirates took 'em 93 minutes ago." Rumlow explained as he gave his STRIKE team, Steve, and Nat the details of the mission. Mikayla nodded her head slightly as she followed along. She may not like the guy, but she wouldn't dare fail two missions in a row. Lucas stood beside his sister, listening intently, yet his facial expressions expressed just how much he did not want to be in the chunky STRIKE tactical gear.

"Any demands?" Steve questioned briskly.

"Billion and a half." Lucas raised his eyebrows and whistled lowly, taken aback by the huge amount.

"Why so steep?"

"Because it's S.H.I.E.L.D.'s." Steve sighed heavily, and Mikayla's shoulders dropped. Of course it was. Nick had been extra secretive lately, and it had been pissing the Maverick girl off. Prior to their downgrade to STRIKE, S.H.I.E.L.D. was sending them on some strange extraction missions— retrieving stolen intel mostly. But the Maverick's could tell it was a load of bullshit.

"So it's not off course, it's trespassing."

Mikayla knew that Steve also noticed the lies that had been building up for some time now. But unlike her, he had no issue with being vocal about it.

"I'm sure they have a good reason."

"Nat's right," Lucas leaned towards the Captain and the spy, his eyes still tracing over the intel Rumlow had pulled up. "If S.H.I.E.L.D.'s parked out here, it's not for nothing."

"You know I'm getting a little tired of being Fury's janitor." Steve crossed his arms over his broad chest and glanced at Lucas and Natasha.

"Relax, it's not that complicated," the redhead rolled her eyes and placed a hand under her chin as she continued to take in the information.

"How many pirates?"

"Twenty five, top mercs, led by this guy. Georges Batroc." A picture of Batroc filled the screen, this guy looked like any stereotypical mercenary— and Mikayla really just wanted to punch him in the face. "Ex-DGSE, Action Division. He's at the top of Interpol's Red Notice. Before the French demobilized him, he had thirty six kill missions. This guy's got a rep for maximum casualties."

"Hostages?"

"Mostly techs. One officer, Jasper Sitwell. They're in the galley."

Lucas scoffed silently, amused that he really had to help rescue Sitwell of all people. Yet his amusement was quickly replaced by confusion as he came to the realization that it made absolutely no sense for him to be on this ship.
