A small sigh emits from my lips, thoughts of my parents invading my mind.

A few tears escape from my eyes, rolling down my cheek haltingly as I think about my family.

I'm sorry, Mum and Dad. I wasn't good enough for you. No matter my efforts, I'm sorry I disappointed you. I just wished you could show me the same amount of love you have towards Seo Yeon. I just hope you will find happiness and continue your life as you had when I was present. I will always love you forever. I'm sorry.

. . .

"We watched the night, under the moonlight, mixed in ocean air. The salty breeze tickled our necks and we counted galaxies, forgetting boundaries, imagined reaching for them, like for each other. The stars lined our heartbeats, and we fell so much harder than we ever had before" - perry poetry

I lay on top of my blanket, that settles on top of the countless grains of sand, under the infinite blinking lights, gazing at how each one seems to light up brighter than the other.

Each one flickers a different color. Sometimes light blue, sometimes white, and sometimes a pale violet - almost lilac.

Yet, they all hum the same tune.

The waves softly crashing into each other, crawling against the shore, is a melody of its own.

It's a tune that can lull one to sleep.

And with the mellow breeze of the night, the faint sound of crickets chirping in the trees in the distance, the lullaby is complete.

I exhale sharply and after a few moments, I hear footsteps slowly approaching. It's only until they sit down beside my figure that I bother to look up.

"Hey," he beams. I return his beam, averting my stare back to the stars as I try and get back into the moment, "Hey."

With a grunt, he lay down beside me, also admiring the beauty of the galaxy.

"I always wonder why stars are the prettiest to look at with your own eyes when you're present, yet, when you try to capture a picture, it's very hard because they are barely visible," I speak my thoughts to lighten the mood.

He hums in response, a small sigh emanating from between his lips, "Do you want to lay on my hand?"

I let out a small chuckle, "Out of the blue?" He giggles, "Well, I just thought it might be uncomfortable for you."
