January 2017
(Hye Jung's POV)
As I seal the last envelope, I hand it to the receptionist and walk out of the post office. Once I reach my house, I walk inside and into my shared bedroom with my younger sister, Seo Yeon.
She looks up at me and asks, "Where did you go?" I walk to the closet and take out some clothes to wear as I answer her question, "I went to the post office."
"Did you post the songs to him?" She inquires expectantly.
I nod followed by a sigh as I wear my clothes, "Don't tell Mum and Dad, please?" "I won't," she gives me a small smile before gluing her eyes onto our Dad's phone.
I walk out of the room and into the kitchen to look for something to eat.
I open the fridge and take out my watermelon.
I scatter a couple of pages of newspaper over the counter and place the watermelon over them as I grab a knife and start cutting through it.
Once I finish cutting and taking the seeds out, I place it on a plate and stroll into the living room.
As I flop onto the couch, stuffing a piece of watermelon into my mouth, I turn the TV on and go onto YouTube as I fill my mouth with pieces of watermelon.
I search up 'BTS' and play the song, Blood, Sweat and Tears.
I mean you can't say no to that song, they're all so handsome in it. Especially Jimin. God, he is always so handsome and beautiful that it attacks my heart. He looks like an actual God. So princely.
I shrug off the fuzzy feeling growing inside of me and turn the TV off as soon as the song ends.
I wash the plate the watermelon was in, and place it on the dish rack.
I lean against the counter top and start thinking about what my life would be like if I lived in South Korea.
Would I get a chance to meet BTS?
Would I be able to attend a fan meet?
Would I be living the miserable life I am in now?
The door abruptly opens and I snap out of my thoughts as I see my parents walking into the house.
"What a tiring day!" My Mum exclaims as I take the plastic bags from her hand and put it on the table.
Seo Yeon comes out of our room and walks into the kitchen, immediately scanning the bags for food.
