"For the love of fuck, bitch, go take a walk or something." Kishi cursed, eyeing me as I stared at the ceiling. "You're being even more depressed then me, and that's impossible." Sighing, I sat up and frowned at him, blowing a few strand of hair from my face, only for them to fall back down again.

"What are you? My mother?" I remark, watching as he gave a sarcastic smile.

"You've been lying here pretty much all day. Do yourself a favour and take a stroll."

"Or what?"

He frowned. "Or I won't cook you any dinner." Throwing my legs from the couch, I shrugged dejectedly.

"Shit man, that's all you had to say." Standing up, I felt gravity instantly compel me down, also making my knees give a small crack. Curse my low iron deficiency. Grumbling about my brittle bones, I walked over to the shoe rack, plucking out a pair of F/C sneakers and putting them on, having to use a wall for support. I tossed a glance over to the couch to see my previous spot now occupied.

"Bitch." I cursed under my breath. "See you later, thot." I yell out, slipping on a jacket as I reached for the door.

"Bye, bye Y/N. Don't die." I hear a gleeful response from the purple haired male, making me hum a laugh as I waltz out the door.

"No promises."

The wind was cold, but I didn't seem to mind as I had been walking for awhile. I had been casually strolling around for what seemed to be an hour, but I knew that it had only been fifteen minutes. There was no moon tonight, which make my mind more cautious and made me walk under any available light post I could find.

It was late, and I contemplated on turning around and going home. But I dismissed the thought as soon as I heard something faint in the distance. I stopped, listening to the faint noise, unable to pinpoint what it was, exactly. So, against my better judgement, I turned and began to walk cautiously towards it.

I noticed how the tune dipped and almost faded out, but then rose again in volume. Following the tune led me to a darker side of town, where there were no streetlights and abandoned buildings, so I had to rely on my quirk to listen out for any dangers. Peeking around a corner, I then heard a voice accompany the somber voice.

i saw a girl in my dreams,

she kissed me on the face,

i guess it's just another

one of those days, when

i'm missing everything.

I stayed silent as I recognised the voice, making my jaw slacken. I stepped around the corner, seeing a male clad in darkness smoothly strum a ukulele on a bench, ushering soft lyrics under a streetlight. I stepped forwards, only to be met with a sharp crack underneath my foot. The strumming ceased as I stood completely frozen.

"Who's there?" Tokoyami demanded, placing down his ukulele as he scanned the darkness with his crimson eyes, which were narrowed in angry. I held up my hands in a surrender gesture as I walked out into the dull light of the only street light around. His eyes widened as he jumped off the bench and stood to attention. "Y/N? What are you doing out here?" He asked, very much shocked with my appearance.

"I, uh, was on a walk when I heard you. I didn't know you could sing. You're really good." I encourage, lowering my hands as I walked over to the male, who looked down as he shook his head. The ukulele was in his grasp, but tucked behind his back as a means of hiding the instrument.

"Th-Thank you kindly, Y/N, but I'm afraid that I'm only but a beginner with mumbles for a voice." He mumbled, head down. I gave a small smile as I placed a hand in his shoulder, watching as he flinched and look up.

"I wouldn't say that, it sounded beautiful, believe me." I gave a warm smile, watching as his eyes stared into mine. "Can you sing again? I'd love to hear it." I ask, watching as he hummed before slowly revealing the hidden ukulele from behind him.

"I suppose I could, only for you my dear." He gave a sigh before sitting back down on the bench, allowing me a spot next to him. He softly strummed a few chords as he hummed gently, eyes closed. I drifted in and out of his hushed voice, but I listened intently to his last few verses.

this is the sound of

love's marching band,

and how they

hold you like a gun,

how i sing you like a song.

A final strum rang out and I felt frozen as I watched crimson orbs open to find mine. I wanted to clap, but that would probably be too loud.

"That was... incredible. You're incredible, Fumikage." I compliment, giggling as the bird-like male bashfully looked away and muttered appreciation.

"D'aww, you're makin' him blush, Y/N! Isn't that just a sight for wore eyes!" Dark Shadow cooed, appearing out of no where like usually as he looked and prodded his host, who just cursed sharp words to him.

"Dark Shadow..! I swear-"

"Hmm, 'ya know how to play the ukulele there, toots?" The bodiless shadow asked, ignoring the strained anger from Fumikage. I gave him a pat on the head, to which he grinned at.

"I've never played an instrument before." I reply honestly, removing my hand to see Dark Shadows face light up in glee.

"Oh boy! Then allow me to..." he trailed off as I watched him quickly zip around me, lifting me up by wrapping his arms around my torso and moving me. Moving me right onto Fumikage's lap. I froze, and I know for a fact the bird man did as well with the sudden contact. "Tokoyami would be more then happy to teach you!" He chirped happily, and then he disapeared, but not before whispering a few words to Fumikage.

"You got this! Just be confident!"

I heard the black cladded male sigh as I turned my head around to face him.

"I-I- are you comfortable, my lady?" He asked quietly, making me turn back around as he situated the ukulele on my lap. I gave a small nod, holding the small instrument. He sat up, so that my back was pressed up against him and so that his head was over my shoulder, able to see.

Gently, he put his hands over mine, which were on the instrument, and directed them to some extent on where they should go. Once they found the right spot, he hummed.

"T-To strike a note, you must strum the chords at the mouth of the instrument, like so-" he took my hand and softly ran my fingers over the chords, making a soft strum. I nodded with a smile, feeling the warmth of my hand spread to his, and the warmth of our bodies mixing.

"Then, you must press down on certain strings to create a more dynamic sound, like this-" instead of using my hand, he used his own, pressed down on various strings as he strummed the chords again, making a different sound. I couldn't help but smile as I felt his chin very slowly lean on my shoulder, resulting in him letting out a contented sigh.

"I'm really enjoying this. Thank you, Fumikage."

"Anything for you, my lady."
