Soon it started raining and Danni wasn't anywhere near the school or home.
She pulled up her hood and continued walking.
She soon took out her phone and called the only person who cared about her.
"Danni! Oh my god. Are you okay? Where are you? Do you-"
"James," she shivered. "Come get me."
"Alright Danni I'm-I'm on my way right now. Stay on the line with me."
She heard a door slam on the other line and stopped walking.
"Danni please say something" James said fear behind his voice.
"I'm here James don't worry." She smiled.
"Please tell me where you are."
"I-I don't know where I am, James."
"Okay hold on Danni." He said. "I'll find you."
Danni sat down with her energy draining.
"James hurry." She whispered.
"I see you sweetie. Hold on." He said.
Danni saw headlights shine in her eyes before her eyes started to fluter close and she was picked up.
"You're with me now." A sweet voice said and kissed her forehead placing her in a car.
The sound of the rain was very soothing to Danni.
She felt a hand on her leg and she opened her eyes to James focussing on the road.
"James?" She whispered.
"Yeah, what's up?" He asked calmly.
"Why did you come and get me. I mean yeah I told you too but you didn't have to you know."
"Danni," he stopped the car. "I came to get you because you're not like any other girl I know."
She blushed and smiled.
"I'm taking you back to my place."
