Scream The Series One Shot

Of course, I love horror movies.

Why the hell would you say that? You despised them and they always left you in a shaken anxious mess. You were trying to impress Noah and as you knew how much he loved horror movies it seemed like a perfect idea at the time, that was until you were halfway through a horror movie and you could barely breath with the fear that went through you. You had done your best to hide your shaken state but when something jumped out one too many times, you couldn't help the high-pitched squeal to escape you as you curled into Noah's side.

Maybe that would have been an okay occurrence if it wasn't your first date, although a blossoming romance of awkward encounters had led you there. Embarrassment washed over you but the fear you felt was far more intense, so you allowed yourself to stay curled into the side of your date, hoping the scary image on the television would disappear forever. Alas, you weren't so lucky, but Noah did notice your terrified state and wanted to help.

Noah paused the movie, wrapping a hesitant arm around your shoulders, trying to support you and make you feel better.

"Are you okay?" He questioned.

You nodded your head against his side, not wishing to make eye contact with him as it would prove your lie.

"I doubt that fact," he commented, raising your chin so that you would look at him.

A concerned expression fell upon his face as he saw the tears brimming in your eyes.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

You didn't want to admit your lie to him as you liked him a lot and lies weren't the best way to start any relationship, but you wouldn't be able to cope through the rest of the movie without permanent mental scarring.

"I...I get really scared by horror movies," you croaked, hating the fact that you lied but you wished desperately you would be able to make up for it.

"Then why did you say that you liked them?"

A sheepish smile curled onto your lips. "I know how much you loved them, and I wanted you to like me. I guess that didn't really happen. I'm sorry."

"You don't need to like horror movies for me to like you Y/N. I already like you a lot," he said, a red hue growing on his cheeks.

You bit your lower lip, rather embarrassed by the whole ordeal as he had liked you before you made a terrible decision to watch horror movies with him.

"I'm sorry for lying," you whispered. "I ruined the date."

He shook his head as he leaned in to press his lips to your cheek. "We'll just watch something else."
