The Haunting Of Hill House One Shot

Being woken up by someone swearing from downstairs wasn't the best way to meet the morning but seen as your clothes from the night before were thrown around the room and you remembered someone accompanying you to bed, it wasn't too much of a concern. Not being bothered to properly get dressed, you just pulled on your dressing gown before going downstairs to see what was going on.

It wasn't your first one-night stand and from your experience the other person usually left without hassle, so why the hell the woman you had slept with was swearing on your ground floor was beyond you. As soon as you got downstairs, you could see what had gone wrong. The glass door to your porch was still closed but a layer of white hit up to where your shoulders would be, stopping it from being opened.

"There was only a little snow last night," you commented.

"When they said it was going to snow, I didn't realise they meant it would snow this much," she frowned.

"I'm sorry to say but I don't think you're going to be going anywhere today," you apologised. "So, I guess make yourself at home."

She tried not to seem too disappointed in being locked up with the woman she had planned to leave after the intimate night before.

"It's Y/N right?" She asked, following you over to the sofa to sit down together.

"Yeah," you nodded. "And your name is Theo?"

She nodded too.

You had exchanged names before sleeping together but with a little alcohol and generally not caring too much, you both wanted to be sure that the person you were trapped with was being given the right name.

"Would you like some breakfast Theo?" You offered.

"I must say, I've never stayed for breakfast after a night with a woman," she joked.

"I've never made breakfast for anyone after either," you laughed. "Normal etiquette is them leaving before I wake up, but I won't kick you out into the snow. If you were that desperate to leave, you can climb out of a window, but you'll miss out on my world-class breakfast."

Theo chuckled as you rose from your seat.

"Is bacon and eggs good for you?" You asked.

She nodded her head. "I'm starving."

"You certainly worked up an appetite last night."

"I need to build up my energy as we might have to share body heat."

"We can only hope."
