It felt like the next week passed by in the blink of an eye for Sooyeon. She finished her school work fairly quickly, and time passed by decently at her cafe job. Jaebeom had actually been messaging her periodically, mostly about work related things though. She still felt a bit awkward texting one of her celebrity crushes, but not having to actually face him made it easier.

"Alright class that will be all," the professor said. Everyone started shuffling around and packing their belongings.

Hyejeong sighed heavily. "Sooyeon, I feel like you've been so distant lately. What are you up to these days?"

"Hmm?" Sooyeon said, absentmindedly. She was packing her things in a hurry, trying to head over to Jaebeom's studio as soon as she could. She double checked her bag to make sure she brought her lyrics sheet.

"What's that?" Hyejeong took the lyrics sheet out of Sooyeon's hands. Sooyeon immediately felt her heart drop; those were confidential and contained a song that hadn't been released yet.

"Hey, give that back!" Sooyeon yelled a little too loudly. Hyejeong's eyes widened in shock.

"Okay okay here," Hyejeong's voice shook a little. Sooyeon had never yelled at her like that before. While handing her the sheets back, Hyejeong caught a glimpse of the title. "Waves? Are you writing a new song?"

"N-no," Sooyeon cleared her throat. "It's just something I've been working on, don't worry about it." She felt her stomach drop out of guilt. Sooyeon and Hyejeong had always been open books to each other starting from when they were little, but she really wasn't sure how she was going to break it to her best friend that she was working with her favorite idol of 5 years. It was also something she didn't feel like talking about since it involved Jaebeom's privacy.

Hyejeong looked at Sooyeon, concerned. "Are you really okay Yeonie?" Hyejeong called her that whenever she was feeling affectionate. The nickname only made Sooyeon feel more guilty.

"I'm sorry, I'll explain it to you one day Hyejeong. For now I have to go work on... stuff." Sooyeon quickly grabbed her belongings and left the lecture hall, leaving Hyejeong alone.

Sooyeon held her breath again, standing outside of Jaebeom's studio. Deja-vu hit her like a train as she opened the door, trying to mentally prepare for all the awkward moments that were about to happen.

Jaebeom looked up from his phone after hearing the door open. "Great, you're here!" He exclaimed, getting out of his seat. "Let's go."

Sooyeon made a confused face, completely forgetting about the awkwardness. "Where...?"

"We're going to the dance studio." Jaebeom smiled.

"Why...? How do we record?" Sooyeon was still confused.

Jaebeom slouched his shoulders and sulked. "Please, let's go. I want to skip work for today." He walked past her and opened the door, looking back. "Come on!"

"Uh..." Sooyeon looked back and forth between the recording room and Jaebeom, who was still holding the door open. She sighed. She had only expected to be in the studio today. "Okay fine, I guess. Let's go...?"

They walked out to the back door of the building, away from the main entrance. Jaebeom suddenly stopped, and Sooyeon walked right into his back, smacking her forehead on his shoulder blades. Sooyeon took a step back, blinking and rubbing her forehead subconsciously. How was it possible for his back to be so ridiculously broad?

"Here, wear these," He handed Sooyeon a pair of sunglasses and a black cap. The black cap had a white letter A on the side, and it looked awfully familiar. Sooyeon put them on obediently. Jaebeom opened the door and Sooyeon's eyes involuntarily squinted as sunlight flooded the hallway.
