Chapter 1 - Heart flutters

Birds chirped softly outside, and Kim Sooyeon laid in her bed with the blanket pulled up to her chin. Her right index finger twitched slightly at the sound of the birds, and the corners of her mouth drifted upward. Her eyelids moved side to side, clearly showing she was awake.

BEEEP BEEE-

Before the alarm clock could go off the second time, Sooyeon slammed her hand down on the clock to stop it and leapt out of bed faster than ever. The day had finally arrived.

She thought back to what had happened a few weeks prior. She was holding her iPhone with sweaty, shaky hands, as the lottery list for the fan meet in Yeouido was to release in about thirty seconds. Her phone vibrated a familiar beat, and she immediately swiped up to read the notification.

"Congratulations! You've been selected to take part in GOT7's fan meet..."

Sooyeon screamed and threw her phone onto her bed. She couldn't believe that she had won! It took her 3 exhausting hours of standing in line to buy the 50 albums she needed to attend the fan sign. Working part time at the cafe had really helped fund her albums. It was her dream to meet her idol, Jinyoung, and to sing the song "I Don't Love You" by Urban Zakapa with him. He had sung the song on Masked Singer, and since then she was determined to make the dream happen. Sooyeon's deepest desire was always to become a singer, but she had never had the courage to pursue the career when she was younger.

Thinking back about that moment made Sooyeon smile around her toothbrush, as she locked eyes with herself in the mirror. Today was the day she would finally be able to meet Jinyoung.

"Sooyeon come here and at least have a scoop of rice! How are you going to leave without eating anything?" Sooyeon's mom shouted at her daughter from the kitchen.

"I'm late as it is!" Sooyeon yelled back, fumbling to put on her shoes at their home's front entrance. She had bought these shoes specifically to meet Jinyoung, and although she wanted to treat the new shoes with care, she was becoming aggravated. Even though the fan meet didn't start for another three hours, Sooyeon wanted to line up as early as possible to get a good seat. All of her heavy camera gear was in the navy blue backpack that was half slung over her right shoulder. She glanced at her watch and her eyes widened when she realized what time it was. "I gotta go! Love you Mom!"

"Okay, have fun! Tell Jinyoung I said hi!" Her mom laughed. She was the only one supportive of Sooyeon's crazy obsession with Jinyoung. She knew the impact he had on Sooyeon's dream to become a singer, and she could understand why her daughter felt the way she did.

Sooyeon made it out the front door and dashed towards the elevator.
