02 | sue me

It took a couple minutes but Olivia finally found her way to the upstairs girls' bathroom where I stood with my arms crossed, facing the mirror.

She stopped when she saw me, looked around suspiciously, checked every bathroom stall before jumping up and down whilst clapping her hands.

"That was so much fun to watch!" Her melodic laugh echoed within the bathroom walls, "Did you see Ryan's face? Did you see the Royals' faces? Priceless!"

"No need to celebrate just yet, Liv," I raised an eyebrow at her, "Nothing's accomplished just yet."

Just at that moment, my phone beeped with a notification from instagram.

Missy 👑 (missy.tesler) has requested to follow you.

"Nothing's accomplished, my ass." Liv mocked me after reading the notification.

"Okay maybe it sparked something," I reasoned, "But not something big enough."

"Alexandra Reynolds, I have no idea what you have planned but I'm so here for it."

I laughed at my friend's logic, "Come on, lunch is almost over and we have the same class to get to."

As Liv and I walked out of the bathroom and into the hallway, we immediately stopped as a red head almost bumped into us on her way into the bathroom.

It was India Weston. Another Royal.

"You." She hummed when she caught sight of us but it wasn't in a malicious type of way, it was more like an interested tone.

"Me?" One of my eyebrows rose.

"Yeah, you," India nodded slowly, "I watched that whole dispute between you and Ryan. I found it kind of funny, it's too bad that he didn't."

"He should've watched where he was going." I shrugged, nonchalantly.

"I guess," She eyed me warily, "Nice necklace."

My hand subconsciously went up to touch it, "Thanks, I got it as soon as it came out."

"So it's in season?" Her eyes gleamed, "I think I'm gonna like you...um, what's you're name?"

"Alexandra."

"I'm gonna need a last name, honey." She pulled out her phone, "There are probably a million Alexandras in this school."

"Rowan." I lied through gritted teeth, "Alexandra Rowan."

I glanced at Olivia who was watching our conversation with quirked up lips.

"I don't think I've met anyone with that surname but it sounds familiar, have I dated anyone from your family?" She asked bluntly.

If I had water, I would've choked on it, "No, most likely you haven't anyway."

"Which level of the monarchy are you part of?"

I coughed, "I don't really use the levels."

"Oh well, I'm placing you with the Nobles." She told me as if it were the most normal thing in the world which for her, it probably is.

I blinked back in response. Not the level I would've wanted but good enough for now, it'll take time. Everyone knows, Rome wasn't built in a day.
