"Tina, I love you..."

"Well, Mr. Scamander, I don't'. I hate you. Get out of New York and never come back,"

A single tear rolled down Newt's face.

"Okay, I'll leave,"

Newt left the apartment, tears glistening in his eyes. Leaving... Leaving the love of his life...

Newt awoke with a start. He threw the blankets off him and had the realization that it was 3 am and he was meeting Tina today. His hands cupped his face as the thought of her face entered his mind. He had never felt this way about any other girl. The thought of just seeing her again made his heart stop. Another tear fell down his already wet face as he thought of his nightmare. She was probably going to say that if you told her. He thought.

Tina! He doesn't love you! He loves Leta. Newt's just a friend. Besides, he's only coming to give you his book.

These were the thoughts going around Tina's head. It was early in the morning and she was already wanting to see Newt. Memories flooded through her as she thought of his soft hands tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear. All she wanted was to be with him. All she needed, was him.

Newt slowly scanned the docks of New York. It was just the same as when he had left, like nothing had changed. His heart skipped a beat as he spotted a familiar navy coat and brunette hair.

"Tina!" he said, waving.

Tina's heart raced as she ran towards the British wizard. Without even thinking, she wrapped her arms around his in a tight hug. Newt was surprised but quickly put his arms around her in return. They hugged for a few moments before Newt pulled away and looked into Tina's eyes. Those eyes! Just like a salamander. He thought to himself.

"I've missed you!" they said in unison, before giggling and bursting into a somewhat awkward conversation about what they have been doing lately.

"I guess we should apparate home," Tina said.

"Splendid idea," Newt said and he offered his hand. Tina willingly took it and they both apparated a small distance away from Tina and Queenie's apartment. They started walking down the cobbled streets of New York. They were almost there when Newt had only just realized that he hadn't let go of Tina's hand. They both stared down at their interlocked fingers, but didn't let go and continued walking. He glanced over at Tina. She's so beautiful. I love her. Merlin, what would I ever do to deserve her. He thought.

Mercy Lewis! Newt's here! And we're holding hands! This can't be real. I love him so much. I want to tell him, but I don't think he likes me in return. We're friends. Just friends. Tina screamed at herself.

"Newt! It's so good to see you!" Queenie exclaimed and gave Newt a bone-crushing hug. Newt smiled at the bubbly blonde Goldstein. Queenie is pretty... but Tina is WAY more beautiful. He thought.

"Awh, Newt, you're so sweet!" she smirked.

"Hi, and please don't read my mind Queenie," he sighed and smiled.

"Tea or coffee, Newt?" Tina asked.

"Tea please,"

Tina had brewed up a perfect pot of tea within about 1 minute with magic. Tina lay down 3 mugs of tea for them on the coffee table. Already he felt at home in the Goldstein home.

"Well, make yourself at home," Tina said.

Newt plopped down on the couch, exhausted from travel. Tina sat quietly down beside him.

"Oh my gosh! You guys held hands!" Queenie said suddenly.

"Um- er- well- sort of - long story- technically," Newt stuttered.

"Yes," Tina sighed. "We did Queenie, big deal huh?" Tina snuck a glance at Newt, his freckles shining in the light. Something told Newt it was a big deal. He wanted the feeling of Tina's hand being in his to return. There was an awkward silence as they all drank their tea. Slowly, a conversation started about Newt's book. He made a mental note to give the book to Tina later. After a while of somewhat having a conversation, Tina yawned and said reluctantly,

"We'd better go to bed now,"

"Yes, but Tina?"

"Yes, Newt,"

"I have something to give you,"

"Ah, yes. Say, we'll get into our pajamas and I'll meet you out here. Your room is the first door to the right."

"Yep, good idea," Newt said as he went to his bedroom. After changing into his pajamas, he grabbed his book out of his case and walked out to the living room, to see Tina waiting for him, standing in a pair of zebra pajamas. She's so cute. I hope she likes my book. He thought.

"Um, here's my book, like I promised," he said nervously.

"Newt!" Tina gasped. "It's absolutely the most stunning and beautiful thing ever! Thank you so much!" She exclaimed, flicking through the pages.

"Glad you like it, i-its the first copy ever," he smiled.

"The first copy! Wow, that's amazing,"

Tina wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace.

"I missed you," she murmured.

"I missed you too," Newt muttered into her neck.

They stayed there for what felt like an eternity. Newt brushed a strand of hair behind Tina's hair and looked into her eyes lovingly. If only we could stay here forever.
