Chapter 17

RECAP:

“Liam! Liam just please stop!” He barked out once he finally catched up with Liam. Liam turned around and his eyes were red, probably due to crying, but Liam didn’t say a word, instead just stared at his ex-lover.

“Aren’t you going to ask how I am?’’ Zayn asked and Liam fumed with anger.

“Ask how you are?! How you’re doing!? WHY ON EARTH WOULD I DO THAT! When I already know that you’re GRAND-” Liam yelled causing Zayn to take a step back but he still cut Liam off.

“Liam please just listen to m-”

“SHUT UP! SHUT UP, SHUT UP SHUT UP! I AM TIRED OF LISTENING, I KNOW YOU’RE HAPPY WITH HARRY AND YOUR NEW FAMILY. AND FOR ONCE I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO COME AND ASK ME HOW THE FUCK I AM ! HOW ALONE I FEEL! AND HOW TIRED I AM OF MISSING SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T EVEN REMEMBER I EXIST.’’

“Liam-” Zayn started but Liam cut him off in a teary voice.

“Zayn just please, leave me alone, please.” Liam was on his knees crying, Zayn by now also had a headache and bloodshot red eyes so he did what he was asked to do and left.

Both men spent a sleepless night, thinking of course of one another.

 Zayn woke up with a pounding headache and a killer fever the next day. He managed to go into the bathroom and wash his face. Then he went downstairs, Harry and Louis were surprisingly awake and Zayn could easily sense the tension between them. He cleared his throat to get their attention, both of them looked up, Harry looked miserable, the black eye on his face didn’t go unnoticed by Zayn, and sad, while Louis looked angry. Louis then got up and left without a word or even a kiss to Harry. That was strange on a major level, Zayn thought to himself. 

“What Happened?” Zayn inquired as he sat done on the chair in front of Harry.

“After, ug after Liam punched me, Louis and I came home, and umm while he was taking care of my black eye, h-he asked something.” Harry said, a weird glint in his eyes that told Zayn something important had happened.

“Asked what?”

“He found out.” Harry blurted out and after a moment of processing in his brain Zayn knew what harry was talking about.

“W-What did h-he say?’’ Zayn asked.

“He yelled at me for not telling him earlier, and for lying, and he said that I could have told him, he’d have been okay with it and then I started crying and you know how he gets when I cry right, so he hugged me and kissed me, called me an idiot, a-and forgave me.” Harry answered while smiling invisibly, but now Zayn was confused, if all was well then why was Louis angry this morning?

“He wanted to tell Liam Jr” Harry stated seeing Zayn’s confusion.

“And?’’

“I said I wasn’t ready yet.” Zayn frowned.

“Harry-”

“Don’t harry me, you of all people should know how I’m feeling.” Harry snapped.

“What? How?’’ Zayn queried.

“You met Liam last night, you went after him and came back without sorting things out, because you didn’t want to sort things out, because you were afraid, just like me, afraid that Liam wouldn’t take you back. I’m afraid too Zayn.” Harry said his eyes shiny almost as if he tears would come rolling down any minute, But Harry’s confession made Zayn look down, because Harry was right, Zayn was afraid.
