Chapter 14 - Real Intentions
"So do you both know each other?" Queried mom still serving us the last of salads.
Just as i was about to say 'well not really' , that was my general response for making a way out of such conversations, but then again that clown again had to poke her nose in this.
"Of course we know each other, we are in the same batch for most of our lectures. And we are quite good friends too, aren't we zee?" She said with a smirk on her face. A smirk that just told me no way this is gonna end nice for me.
I almost choked on my ham when i heard her answer. What in the blue hell is she up to? First she comes and hits me and then says we are really good friends.
"Are we?" I stammered still dazeled when i realized i must have said something wrong as i got weird looks from everyone around the table.
"Yes of course we are" i replied quickly making up for my earlier blunder.
"Yeah we hangout a lot together. Its really fun." Blurted out tana from the other side of the table.
Now it was my mom's turn to look in disbelief. I'm sure the old lady didn't see this one coming and neither did I. Whatever shit this girl was up to didn't look any good.
Finally the gruesome dinner was done with and just as mom was doing the plates she told me to show the new girl around the house. I silently nodded in agreement and asked tana to follow me.
As soon as we were out of earshot of our respective moms, I in a mind you very controlled way screamed at her, "What in the blue hell are you up to?"
"What did i do now?" She replied trying to hide her excitement.
"Why did lie that we hangout and stuff?" I questioned.
"You made a deduction about me. Why don't i tell something about you. You are an ass. You alienate people you repel them. You are miserable and you love making others miserable. Nothing bothers you people beat the crap out of you at school but that doesn't affect you but this does. You don't like people getting close to you. You are indeed vulnerable so basically what I'm doing is exploiting your vulnerability." She said with a determined face.
I was completely dumbfounded, I know what she said was true but i didn't wanna accept it.
"Moreover i also did your mom a favor. At least she won't be so troubled now that she thinks her idiotic son is at least socializing."
Just as she was about to go on and on about her philosophy our moms' came to save me from the vortex. They were sort of bidding goodbye to each other.
This was my favorite moment when guests came. The time when they left. There is nothing more pleasurable than this.
Finally they left but this was far from over.......
