Meeting Alice and Tamara

KARA'S POV

NOVEMBER 5TH, 2038

My eyes opened to a little blonde girl staring at me. She stared at me for about a few seconds until a woman with brown hair put up in a bun came up to her.

"Come on, Zoe. Let's go." The woman said taking the girls hand and leaving the store I was on display in. I heard people talking all around me. Several seconds later, two men walk up to me.

"There it is." The one in glasses said. "It was a bit difficult getting it back in working order." The man said as the other one was looking around as if he was in a rush.

"It was really messed up... What did you say happened to it again?"

"Huh, A car hit it... Stupid accident..." The other man with brown hair responded with.

"Oh, I see..."

"Anyway, it's as good as new now... Except that we had to reset it. Meaning we had to wipe its memory." The man in glasses says.

"Hope you don't mind."

"That'll be fine." The brown haired man said clearly wanting to leave as quick as possible. "Okay, did you give it a name?"

"My daughters did..."

"AX400, register your name." The man in glasses said directly to me before moving out of the other mans way.

He steps in front of me. "Kara." He says. "My name is Kara." I said with a smile.

minutes later...

The drive home with Todd was quiet, but at the same time very nice. I got to see all of the buildings, cars, people, roads, construction, and all of the other androids, too.

After minutes of driving around Detroit, we finally made it back to Todd's house. It was now 4:53 PM.

Todd stops his pick up truck. Half of the truck was on the grass in front of his house while the other half was on the road.

Todd first gets out of the truck and walk up his front porch. I then get out of the truck. Todd was waiting for me at the front door. I walk up the porch. Todd then turns around and opens the door and we walk in.

The place was a mess.

"You've been gone for two weeks, so the place is a mess..." Todd said taking off his jacket as I closed the front door.

"You do the housework, the washing, you cook the meals, and you take care of..." Todd listed off before stopping and turning around as he was searching for something for someone.

"Goddammit! Where the fuck did those two go now?" He asks. "GIRLS!" He called out twice before looking at the staircase to my left.

"Oh, there you two are..." He said.

I looked at the girls. They were sitting on the stairs next to each other. The one on the left had brown hair put in a ponytail and was also holding a stuffed animal. The one on the right had brown shoulder length hair while wearing overalls. She didn't have a stuffed animal.

"That's Alice and Tamara. You look after them, homework, bath, all that crap..." Todd said. "Got it?"

"Yes, Todd." I said. "Get started down here, then you do the upstairs."

I turn to the girls. "Which one is Tamara, and which one's Alice?" I ask them. "I'm Tamara." The girl with overalls said. "That's Alice." She said pointing to the girl with the stuffed animal.
