Reaching The Terminal

KARA'S POV

NOVEMBER 11TH, 2038

10:51:07 PM

We were now on a snowy road in an attempt to reach the bus terminal. "The last bus leaves in 20 minutes. That doesn't give us much time. We've got to move fast." I said as we walked down the road.

We stopped to look at the two dead androids. I see a gun on the ground. I pick the gun up. "Come on, let's not stay here..." I said before me and the girls kept on going. We noticed an android being gunned down. He hid by a brick wall.
"No, please don't hurt me..." The android said. "Shut up, on your knees!"

"What are we gonna do now?" Tamara asks.

"We have to keep going if wr wanma catch that bus." I respond. "Stay close to me..." "We're going to sneak past them without being noticed." "We're going to make it. I promise."

"Are there any more?" The soldier asks as we come out and run over to a car and hide behind it. "Look at 'em. They're like rats..." "The morw you look, the more you find..."

"I hope we don't have to spend the night here...."

We ran and hid behind another car. And another. "Hurry up, Get in!" The soldier said.

We made a ran for it again and hid behind another car. We looked over. We saw Luther and another android. "It's Luther!" Tamara whispered. "We can't help him." I said. "Soldiers are everywhere."

"But we can't just leave him to die!" Tamara argued.

I thought about it. Fine. We'll save Luther. "Okay! Let's go." I say.

We started to sneak around and hide behind cars while the soldiers were dealing with the androids. Gunshots were heard as they shot one claiming to be human, but was really an android. I saw a brick in front of me. I quickly ran over and picked it up. I got up.

I slowly approached the soldier. After I got closer to him. I hit him over the head with the brick. "Kara!" Luther said getting up. "You shouldn't have risked your life to save me..." "Where's Alice and Tamara?"

"They're hiding nearby." I said. "Kara, you saved us!" The other android said. I looked at him. It was Jerry. "We don't know how to thank you."

"Go, before they see you." I say. Jerry then ran off.

"Girls!" Luther said as Alice and Tamara ran up to him and hugged him. "Luther!" They both said in unison.

(A/N: Wow, they always say shit in unison.)

"We thought you were dead." Tamara says. Luther kneeled down. "I was afraid I'd never see you two again." Luther says. "I wanted to meet you guys as the Terminal, but they caught me along the way."

"Come on... We're close, we don't have much time." I said.

We ran and got behind a car. After a few seconds, we made a run for it and hid behind another car. We did the same thing twice until we got to a check point. There were soldiers. We hid behind something.

"A check point." I said. "We have passports, it should be okay but you never know."

"Maybe we should take the detour and avoid the risk?" Luther suggests.

"We're almost out of time, we could miss the bus." I say. "Yeah, but it might be safer..."

I start heading for the check point holding the girls hands. "I don't like humans who carry guns..." Luther said. "They make me nervous..."

"Just stay calm, alright Luther?" I said. "Don't do anything until I say so."

We walked up to the soldiers. "ID, please." The soldier said. I take out my ID and hand it to him. He looks at it for a second. "You do realize there's a cerfew?" "Civilians are allowed out unless absolutely necessary." "Where are you going?"

"My daugthers slept over at there friends house..." I said. "We went to go pick them up. We're on our way home now."

"He suspects something..." Luther says to me through our heads. "Stay calm." I said back. "Everything is fine."

"You two all right?" He asks the girls. "They're trembling..." "Something wrong?"

"They're cold. We really have to get them home fast." I say.

"Sorry, miss, we have to be careful." The soldier says. "There are deviants around and our guys are nervous." "You should hurry on home."

"Thanks." I said. We walked past the soldiers.

"Hey! Wait a minute!" The soldier says a second later. We stopped.

"He knows, Kara!" Luther said to me through our heads. "They're gonna kill us!"

"Don't do anything, Luther! You hear me?!"

"They're gonna shoot! They're gonna shoot Alice and Tamara!"

We turn around to face the soldier. "You dropped this." He said handing Alice her glove. Thank god it was just that.

"Thank you." Alice says. "You're welcome."

We turned back around and started to walk down the snowy path.

minutes later...

We were now at the bus terminal. It was now 11:01 PM.

"The bus terminal." I said. "We've arrived, girls. We've made it."

"The last bus for the border is full. Ticket-holding passengers only. All departures are suspended until further notice." We heard a soldier say.

"We don't have tickets... They won't let us on..." I said as we started to walk around. "We're stuck here now..." "What are we going to do?"

"Kara... They're checking everyone." Luther says as Alice and Tamara walk up to a woman sitting down holding a baby. They look at the baby.

"I think Oliver likes you two." The woman says. "Are they yours?" She aska as I came up from behind the girls and put my hands on their shoulders. "Yes..." I said.

"They're adorable." The woman says.

"That's it. I got the sandwiches, I calles your mom..." A man said going over to the woman. "Let's get going before we miss our bus..." "You got the tickets, right?"

"Yes, honey. In my bag." The woman says.

"Great, well let's go then." He says before they take off. We then see something fall out of one of their bags.

I went over and picked it up. They were tickets. Four tickets... Just enough for all of us.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry, I was sure!" We heard someone behind us say. We saw the same people from a a couple of minutes ago come back after they realized that they had lost their tickets. They were arguing about the tickets they had just lost.

"Excuse me, you didn't happen to see a blue envelope somewhere, did you?" The man asks coming up to us. "It has our bus tickets in it and..." "Oh, nevermind..."

"No, sorry..." I said.

"What are we gonna do?" He asks. "We can't stay here..." "We have to find a safe place for Oliver..."

"Come on, girls." I said as we started to walk over to the bus with the other people's tickets.

"Got your ticket?" The soldier asked. I hand it to him. "Yes, here they are." I said.

"Ok, go ahead." He said. He gave them back to me. We walk past the soldier and head for the bus. We walk up to the open bus door. I of course let the girls on first. They stopped.

"What's going to happen to those people and their baby?" Tamara asks.

"Will they die because of us?" Alice asks

"No... No, of course not." I said. The girls turn around and get onto the bus. Me and Luther do the same a few seconds later. The bus doors closed and soon the bus was driving off.
