Pirates' Cove

KARA'S POV

NOVEMBER 7TH, 2038

We were in a self driving car with Luther. It was silent. I just looked through the window in front of me. "These people we're going to see..." I start off.

"How do you know about them?" I ask.

"Overheard androids Zlatko captured." Luther responds. "They said they were humans helping androids to cross the border..."

"What if it was a lie?.." I asked. "Or just another trap?

"All I know is that those androids believed it." Luther said. "Until Zlatko killed them."

I look out the window next to me. A smile formed on my face. "I've never seen snow before..." I said. "It's pretty..."

"It's slowing us down..." Luther said. I looked at Luther. "But at least we won't meet any humans along the way..."

I turn on the tiny tv in the car. "...the AX400 android reported to have attacked its owner in a Detroit suburb is still at large." The news reporter said.

PUBLIC OPINION ⬇️ (HOSTILE)

"Police appeared to lose its trail after a close encounter with investigators."

I then switched the channel. "Malfunction detected. Emergency brakes activated." The voice in the car then said. The car then drove itself to the side of the road and stopped.

"This doesn't look good." Luther says. Luther pushes a button that causes the front seats to turn facing the back seats and one of the doors to open. Luther gets up and gets out of the car.

"Stay inside." I tell the girls before getting up and getting out. I walk over to Luther who was in front of the car. I open the front of the car. Smoke was coming out. I waved my hand around to make it go away.

"What are we going to do?" I asked Luther. "I don't know... Continue on foot, I guess..." Luther says.

"It's 30°, Alice and Tamara won't maje it!.." I say. "We have to find somewhere to spend the night."

"There's nowhere we can stay around here, Kara..." Luther says as I noticed something. I start walking towards it. It was a sign. It said 'Pirates' Cove'. There was also a road past the sign. "Over there..." I said.

I take out a flashlight and start looking around and walking while Luther was carrying both Alice and Tamara behind me.

"Whoa." Tamara said as we stopped in front of gates that said 'Amusement Park' above it. "We need to find shelter." I said as we walked into the place. "We have to get out of the cold."

"Looks like it's been abandoned for a while..." Luther said as we kept walking. I look over to a see an android standing there. He looked motionless. I go over to him. I put my hand on his arm.

"Welcome to Pirate Island, me hearties! You're gonna have a whale of a time!" He said. "Welcome to Pirate Island, me hearties! You're gonna have a whale of a time!" He said again before shutting down.

I turn back around and kept on walking around. "This place is fallimg apart." Luther says. "It's not gonna be easy to find shelter..."

I then found a door. It was boarded up. But I could still see through the window. I looked in. It looked safe enough. I then start and try to rip off the wood, but Luther stops me.

"I'll handle this." He said before grabbing all of the wood and tossing it aside. He then kicks the door open. "There we go."

We all entered into the building. "I don't think we'll find anything better..." I say. "Let's settle in for the night."
