Chapter Seven

It's been a few months since Keith had gotten Kosmo. 

He'd been a huge help in Keith's life. 

But, alas. 

Keith was bored and he couldn't watch movies anymore. 

Kosmo started whimpering. 

"Kosmo? What's wrong?" 

The dog nudged Keith towards the door. 

Keith chuckled. "Alright. Let's go for a walk." 

Kosmo barked happily and began to lead Keith towards the nearest park. 

*W/Lance* 

Since the break-up, Lance hadn't been happy. 

When he'd found out that Shiro had brought Keith to his party, he'd been more depressed. 

He decided to walk for a bit, to clear his thoughts of the one who'd broken his heart. 

Though, this park just had so many couples. 

Couples who looked so happy. 

Lance sighed sadly and sat down.

A dog barked near him causing him to look up. 

His breath caught in his throat. 

His eyes wide. 

The one who'd broken his heart was so close, now. 

Just walking a dog. 

Lance was waiting for Keith to see him, but he'd just kept walking on. 

'Is he ignoring me? How rude.' 

He stood up and began his walk home, heart broken. 

He was confused and hurt by Keith's actions, wanting to cry alone in his room. 

OOF! 

Lance looked up from his place on the ground. 

"I'm so sorry! Are you hurt anywhere?" 

A beautiful woman asked, holding out a hand for him. 

"No." He grasped the small hand and stood. 

This woman truly was beautiful. 

"I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." 

"It's fine, I wasn't either." Lance said. 

"Are you sure?" 

Lance smiled a little and nodded. 

The woman smiled back. 

She walked away, leaving Lance alone again. 

The boy shrugged and went to his house. 

As the weeks went on, Lance often went to that park and each time, Keith would walk by him. 

Thoroughly convinced that Keith was ignoring him, Lance went to talk to his new friend, Nyma. 

But, he didn't even realize when things had moved farther than "just friends". 

It was Christmas. 

Lance had invited Nyma over, so she could meet his parents. 

It was never supposed to be a date.
