Zebras

Black and white

White and black

...

Colors fade

It wont turn back

Clomp of hooves

Sound of the wild

All hidden

Within your file

You study them

Sit there in the open

As they graze

You’re just hoping

That they’ll start to run

Run away

The dangers come

Everyday

You look around

In the African field

You see lion

And then claws they wield

The zebras see it

They start to run

You smile and see

The lion’s having fun

It’s the chase in the wild

That inspires you so

The lion attacks

Its time to close

It bites and claws

Rips and tears

The zebra gets away

You smile and cheer

The lion turns around

Heading back home

It looks so sad

So alone

You see it finds

Another pray

It just made

The lions day

The zebras okay

Its day will end

You see it goes

Back to its friends
