To feel the wind

In my hair

To smell the sweetness

In the air

I stand tall

In the night

The moon

Shines so bright

Its quiet

All around

Silence in the air

Theres no sound

Only owls cry

In the night

Mice scurry

To hide in fright

I stand and listen

To the night wind

Howl through the earth

The stars dim

I close my eyes

Listening to the earth

Moving all around

I laugh in mirth

The sun starts to rise

Dawn is near

Stars start to fade

The sky starts to clear

Deer emerge

From the woods

Its time to leave

I just wish I could

To stay here

Listening to the sound

Of life

All around

I hear the call

Its time to come in

The moon’s glow

Starts to dim

Shadows start to come

They gather all around

To stay in my place

All the animals wound

Life in the woods

Are filled with so much life

Pray and predator

It all cuts like a knife

I smile

I will be back

I am not needed here

They will not lack

My presence

Is all around

Everything will live

Filling with sound

For I am the goddess

I protect these woods

I do everything

Even things I wish I could

So I leave my home

To the peace of life

Silence has been cut

With a knife
